The Big Four and two other top 15 U.S. accounting firms were included in Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” ranking for 2026, which was unveiled on April 1.
This year’s list includes Plante Moran, Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG, and BDO USA. All six of those firms made Fortune‘s top 100 companies ranking last year. RSM US, which was No. 64 in the 2025 ranking, dropped out of the top 100 this year.
Southfield, MI-based Plante Moran, the 13th-largest accounting firm in the U.S. by revenue, according to INSIDE Public Accounting, has been among the “Best Companies to Work For” for 28 years in a row. Plante Moran was the highest-ranked accounting firm this year at No. 15.

“At Plante Moran, culture isn’t a tagline—it’s our strategy,” Plante Moran Managing Partner Jason Drake said in a statement on Wednesday. “When people feel trusted and supported, they bring their best thinking to their work and their relationships. That mindset has shaped our firm for more than a century.
“Being recognized year after year tells us our people feel the difference,” he added. “It confirms that staying true to our values is not only the right thing to do for our staff—but the right way to serve our clients and build for the future.”
The data used for the annual ranking, which is collected by the website Great Place to Work, is based on survey responses from more than 1.3 million employees across the country. Of those, nearly 640,000 responses were received from employees at companies who were eligible for the 2026 “100 Best,” and this year’s list is based on their feedback. Respondents were asked to provide feedback about their company’s culture by responding to 60 statements on a five-point scale and answering two open-ended questions. Great Place to Work then measured the difference in survey responses across “demographic groups and roles within each organization to assess both the quality and consistency of the employee experience.” Statements are weighted according to their relevance in describing the most important aspects of an equitable workplace.
