CohnReznick and Boston-Based Ercolini to Merge

CohnReznick LLP, one of the top accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S., and Boston-based accounting, consulting, and tax firm Ercolini & Company have signed a letter of intent to combine practices, expected to be effective June 30.

CohnReznick LLP, one of the top accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S., and Boston-based accounting, consulting, and tax firm Ercolini & Company have signed a letter of intent to combine practices, expected to be effective June 30.

The combination brings added bench strength and industry expertise to both firms and more than doubles the size of CohnReznick’s Boston practice, positioning the Firm among the top 15 in the Boston market.  Ercolini & Company will be known as CohnReznick. Within the next year, all Ercolini employees will move to CohnReznick’s office at One Boston Place.

Ercolini & Company, founded in 1974, has 54 employees and nine partners and brings expertise that further enhances CohnReznick’s highly successful, national Affordable Housing and Commercial Real Estate Industry Practices.  With additional expertise in Higher Education, Hospitality, and other industry sectors, the combination brings new diversification to CohnReznick’s Boston practice as well.

CohnReznick, which has had a presence in Boston since 2008, has 38 employees and six partners in its Boston office.  Its Firm-wide resources include dedicated industry practices, specialized assurance, tax, and advisory services, and global reach through Nexia International. The Firm is also an award-winning workplace for its women’s program, flexibility, dedicated Learning and Development department, and community service initiatives.
