Practice management software provider Levvy announced new Levvy AI capabilities on Nov. 3, including a new connection to popular AI assistants Claude and ChatGPT.

Levvy AI now runs in two places, the Brooklyn, NY-based company says: inside the Levvy platform, and through the new connection, accounting and client advisory services teams can also manage their work from the AI assistants they already use.

Accounting firms lose margin in places that are hard to see, including hours spent on manual entry, follow-ups that never get tracked, and clients who cost more to serve than they pay, Levvy says.

Jeanne Hardy

“What we find is inbound client requests and ad hoc work are 25-30% on top of the regularly scheduled scoped services. Much of that is the foundation of advisory services. Being able to capture that inbound work and schedule it quickly and cleanly can enable a firm to take on more advisory without reducing profits and keeping their teams from getting buried in unpaid projects.” Jeanne Hardy, founder of Levvy, who still runs her own accounting firm Creative Business Inc. on the platform, said in a statement.

According to the company, firms get time back with Levvy AI because of:

  • Less manual entry: The AP Agent turns vendor invoices from a client’s inbox into bills in QuickBooks Online so bookkeepers review and approve instead of typing.
  • Fewer missed follow-ups: The AI note taker turns client calls into tasks and workflows so requests get assigned right away.
  • Faster setup: Firms can paste in an existing checklist and have it rebuilt as a Levvy workflow, or add a client task with a single sentence.
  • A clearer view of profitability: Owners can ask plain-English questions about client projects and team performance, and AI Insights flags patterns that standard reports miss. Paired with Levvy’s capacity and profitability views, owners can see which clients are worth their time.

“Advisory is living in the moment with your clients, and you can’t do that when your team is buried in admin,” Hardy said. “This is all about putting your firm’s profitability in your hands.”

Ultimately, the tool managers stay in control, according to Levvy. The AI assistant connection only reaches what each user’s role allows, asks for approval before creating anything, and can’t edit or delete existing workflows or tasks.

Levvy is SOC 2 compliant.

Levvy AI and the Claude and ChatGPT connection are included on every Levvy plan at no extra cost. Firms can try Levvy free for 14 days, with no credit card required, here.
