FloQast Names Vice President of Product
FloQast, Inc. recently announced the appointment of Rob Feinstein to vice president of product. In his new role, Feinstein will be responsible for FloQast’s global product strategy and execution. He has nearly 20 years of B2B SaaS experience, having led product strategy and global product management. Feinstein received his Bachelor’s degree in History from Brown University and his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Dartmouth College and his Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University.

CBIZ Named One of the Best Places to Work in Rhode Island
CBIZ was recently named a 2017 Best Places to Work in Rhode Island for the fifth consecutive year by the Providence Business News and Best Companies Group. CBIZ was also ranked #2 in the medium employer category. The annual awards recognize companies based on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, demographics, and employee survey responses.

RubinBrown CPA Honored with 30 Under 30 Award
RubinBrown recently announced that Kendrick Coleman, CPA, was recently honored at the St. Louis Business Journal’s annual 30 Under 30 awards banquet. Coleman, a staff accountant in RubinBrown’s Entrepreneurial Services Group, manages and coordinates client review planning and performance, compilations and tax planning. He is very involved in the community, representing RubinBrown as a member of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative and volunteering with InSight St. Louis to help minority students learn and develop interviewing skills and connect with companies. He is also mentors local high school students and introduces them to jobs in the accounting and financial profession and serves as a Student Liaison for the Central Region Student Conference of the National Association of Black Accountants. Coleman received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Accountancy – Taxation from Southern Illinois University.

Accounting MOVE Project names Rehmann Best CPA Firm for Women
Rehmann was recently named to the Accounting MOVE Project’s “Best Public Accounting Firms for Women” for the fifth consecutive year. The list, released by the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance, recognizes firms that provide consistent, measurable progress in advancing women, proven and continually evolving programs that retain and advance women and evidence that the firm’s advancement of women is intrinsic to its growth and succession goals. Rehmann has two leadership development programs that pair sponsors with protégés and a dedicated Women’s Initiative Network that focuses on the development of female associates and women’s career advocacy across the firm.

Grant Thornton Names New National Leader
Grant Thornton LLP recently named Greg Ross, CPA as the national managing partner for the firm’s Construction, Real Estate, Hospitality and Restaurants industry practice. Ross has nearly 25 years of auditing experience working with construction, real estate and hospitality companies. Ross graduated with his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Appalachian State University.

Marks Paneth Names New Directors, Partner-in-Charge
Marks Paneth LLP recently announced the promotion of Timothy J. McMaugh, MST, CPA, Sally Wang, CPA and Christopher D. Wright, JD, CPA to director and the addition of Salvatore A. Collemi, CPA as partner-in-charge. McMaugh manages complex business, personal and multi-state tax income issues and represents clients in federal, state and local tax examination matters. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York, Old Westbury and his Master of Science degree in Taxation from Long Island University.

Wang specializes in high-net worth individual taxation, family office tax planning, trusts and investment partnerships. She graduated from the Queens College, City University of New York with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.

Wright specializes in the legal, tax and compliance components of estate planning and gift, estate and trust taxation strategies. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Linfield College and his Juris Doctorate degree from Lewis and Clark College, School of Law.

As partner-in-charge of the Professional Standards Group, Collemi will oversee the firm’s compliance with, and implementation of, accounting, auditing and attestation standards, independence and ethics requirements and quality control standards. Collemi has more than 20 years of experience in U.S. and international financial reporting, internal controls, corporate governance, attest compliance and risk management practices.

Deloitte Names New National Managing Director
Deloitte recently named Heather Gates as the national managing director of its Emerging Growth Company practice. In her new role, Gates will oversee her team’s efforts to deliver analytics-driven audit services to help emerging growth companies take full advantage of their marketplace position and potential. She has more than 25 years of experience working with high-growth technology companies. Gates graduated from the University of Colorado.

CohnReznick Names Office Managing Partner
CohnReznick LLP recently named Jason Burian, CPA as the new office managing partner of its Chicago, Illinois, office. Burian is a member of the firm’s Assurance Practice and leader of the Commercial Real Estate Industry Practice. He has more than 15 years of experience in audit, compilation, compliance and due diligence work for real estate operating companies, syndicators, investment funds and developers. Burian is also active in developing staff, recruiting, scheduling initiatives, and leading the Chicago office’s efforts for the firm’s volunteer and charity outreach.

VersAccounts Names New Chairman
VersAccounts Ltd recently announced that Kevin Riegelsberger, founder of Epicor, has joined its board of directors as chairman. Riegelsberger has more than 40 years of experience, most recently serving as president and chief operations officer of Avalara. 

Mueller Prost Promotes Partners
Mueller Prost recently announced that partners Adam Herman, CPA, ABV, CFF, CVA, ASA, CFE and Quinn Martin, CPA, MBA were named the first Chief Visionary Officer and first Chief Operating Officer, respectively. In his new role, Herman will oversee the strategy and direction of the firm, lead growth and new service initiatives and manage the firm’s industry leaders, sales and marketing efforts. He has more than 25 years of experience in business valuations, tax credits, advising and consulting.

In his new role, Martin will oversee Mueller Prost’s operational effectiveness and manage the firm’s service line leaders, human resources, finance and IT functions. He has more than 15 years of experience in assurance and auditing services, specializing in manufacturing, construction, distribution and other niche industries including PCAOB non-issuers.
