Frost Law Adds Long-time IRS Executive Terry Lemons to Growing Team
Frost Law, a firm headquartered in Washington D.C., recently announced Terry Lemons, a long-time senior leader at the Internal Revenue Service, will serve as the firm’s Public Relations Director.
Lemons spent more than 25 years at the IRS, overseeing the agency’s communications operations for over 17 years as an executive before retiring last February. His wide-ranging portfolio included advising six consecutive IRS commissioners, creating the agency’s annual “Dirty Dozen” tax scam list as well as working with the nation’s tax professional community and the news media. Before joining the IRS, Lemons covered Congress and the White House as Washington bureau chief for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
In his final role at the IRS, Lemons served as the agency’s Communications and Liaison Chief for 11 years. He oversaw the agency’s Congressional relations, employee communications, and external communications, including launching the IRS social media program. As part of his work with the tax community, Lemons directed the IRS Tax Forums and managed the Stakeholder Liaison organization.
Since his long-planned government retirement last year, Lemons has remained active in the tax community. He’s spoken at numerous tax and accounting conferences and commented on a variety of issues. He’s also written articles appearing in Forbes.com and The Hill. His first book – on baseball – will be published this summer.
AuditBoard Appoints Hugo Doetsch as Chief Financial Officer
AuditBoard, the leading AI-powered global platform for connected risk, recently announced the appointment of Hugo Doetsch as its Chief Financial Officer. Doetsch joins the executive team to steer the company’s financial strategy as it continues its rapid market expansion and growth.
Doetsch brings over two decades of financial leadership and strategic operating experience to AuditBoard. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at symplr, a leading enterprise healthcare operations software provider. Prior to that, he was CFO at NetDocuments, a cloud-based content management platform, where he was named “CFO of the Year” by Utah Business Magazine. Doetsch also held senior leadership roles at Ping Identity, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s successful 2019 initial public offering.
This announcement comes shortly after AuditBoard surpassed $300 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), reflecting the company’s continued rapid growth and innovation. Doetsch is the most recent in a series of key executive appointments for AuditBoard, joining Chief Executive Officer Raul Villar Jr., who most recently served in the same role at Paycor; Chief Growth Officer Jim Sperduto, who was previously President of Small Business, Retirement, and Insurance Services at ADP; and Chief Human Resources Officer Paaras Parker, who joined recently from Greenhouse Software where she was Chief People Officer.
Josh Tyree Appointed CEO of Sorren, Advancing Firm’s Next Phase of Growth
Sorren, a Top 50 national tax, accounting, and advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Josh Tyree as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 20, 2026. Tyree previously served as President of the firm and steps into the CEO role following a planned leadership transition.
