Symphona Names Dani Ashley as Partner

Before joining Symphona, Dani spent five years with an international accounting firm in its International Assignment Services Group, specializing in global mobility and cross-border tax planning. Ryan Sturma Joins CohnReznick as Financial Services Partner

CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, recently announced that Ryan Sturma has joined the firm as a Partner in its Financial Services practice. Based in Boston, Sturma will lead audit and assurance teams serving private equity and venture capital funds, mutual funds, broker-dealers, investment advisers, and management companies.

Sturma has extensive expertise across both public and private financial service clients, with extensive experience in U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting, annual and semi-annual/quarterly shareholder reports, security counts, seed audits, net capital and custody rule compliance, and internal controls (including SOX 404).

In addition to his fund and valuation knowledge, Sturma has led complex global group audits, managing consolidation, tax/transfer pricing, and local statutory requirements across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.  He has also collaborated closely with internal audit teams to design and execute comprehensive controls testing programs.  

Sturma joins CohnReznick after 18 years at a Big Four firm, where he most recently served as a Managing Director, Audit and Assurance. He holds an M.S. in Accounting and a B.A. in Business Administration from Boston College.

The Bonadio Group Announces Key Leadership Changes 

The Bonadio Group, a nationally ranked Top 40 CPA firm, today announced the promotion of five new partners, effective January 1, 2026: Brad Alfred, Jared Amyot, Courtney Caryl, Rochelle Moore and Chelsey Wyant. These leaders will join more than 100 existing partners across the firm.

The firm also announced that Aimee Jozic will step into the role of Rochester Regional Managing Partner (RMP) ahead of the current RMP, Nancy Snyder’s, retirement in May 2026. Aimee has been with The Bonadio Group for 20 years, providing auditing services for tax-exempt organizations in the healthcare and higher education industries, and has served as a partner in the firm’s Assurance practice since 2019.

Brad is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and (AICPA) and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He also serves as a member of the Finance Committee of Congregation Beth Emeth.

 ·        Jared Amyot, Assurance: Jared has been with The Bonadio Group for more than 15 years. He serves a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing and retail, and is primarily responsible for supervising financial statement audits and reviews, as well as employee benefit plan audits. Jared is also a past president and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Capital Region Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

·        Courtney Caryl, Advisory & Consulting, FoxPointe Solutions (The Bonadio Group’s information risk management division): Courtney brings years of experience in internal and external information technology auditing and information security best practices and controls across multiple sectors, including healthcare, banking, managed service providers, and software companies. She specializes in SOC 1 and 2 reporting. During her career she has been a HITRUST Certified Common Security Framework Practitioner (CCSFP) and a Certified HITRUST Quality Professional (CHQP).

·        Rochelle Moore, Small Business Advisory: Rochelle brings more than 15 years of public accounting experience, with expertise in special project consulting, including strategic tax planning, and comprehensive tax compliance. Her work focuses on clients in the real estate and service industries, as well as private wealth. She also currently serves on the United Way’s Emerging Leaders Advisory Board.

·        Chelsey Wyant, Assurance: With more than 16 years of experience, Chelsey’s expertise includes financial statement audits, tax compliance, internal control reviews and regulatory compliance for tax-exempt organizations. Chelsey is a member of the AICPA and serves as the Board Treasurer of Girls on the Run of Greater Rochester.

Acumatica Names Jon Pollock Chief Product Officer to Lead Next Phase of Cloud ERP Innovation

Acumatica, the industry-leading cloud ERP provider, today announced the appointment of Jon Pollock as Chief Product Officer (CPO). In this role, Pollock will lead Acumatica’s global product management and user experience organizations, overseeing product strategy, innovation, and delivery across the company’s cloud ERP platform. He will play a key role in advancing Acumatica’s product vision and AI innovation strategy as well as supporting growth initiatives across its core industries, including construction, manufacturing, distribution, retail, and professional services.

Pollock brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling SaaS and payments platforms at high-growth technology companies. Most recently, he served as CPO at Procare Solutions and general manager of Procare’s ChildPlus division, leading product management, user experience, sales, marketing, and customer support teams across childcare management SaaS, payments, and early learning solutions.

Pollock succeeds Ali Jani, who joined Acumatica in 2010 and has been instrumental in developing the company’s business strategy, product evolution, and ecosystem growth.

McNally Joins CohnReznick as Tax Partner in Florida Commercial Real Estate Practice

CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, recently announced that Kevin McNally has joined the firm as a tax partner in its Commercial Real Estate practice. Based in Orlando, McNally will support the expansion of the firm’s real estate practice in Florida, focusing on the central part of the state.

McNally has deep real estate industry expertise, helping developers, operators, and investors navigate the tax issues associated with complicated partnership agreements including accounting for preferred interest, promoted interests, and 704(b) capital account maintenance to address 704(c) capital contributions. His experience also includes accounting for condo developments and home building, acquisition and exit planning for bundled real estate portfolios (including gain calculations and cost segregation studies), and structuring foreign inbound investment into U.S. real estate. McNally is also proficient in testing and effectuating qualified opportunity zones.

McNally joins CohnReznick having served most recently as a Director of Tax Services for a Miami-based Advisory and CPA firm.  Prior to this, he was in the tax practice for another Miami-based firm and began his career as a tax associate for a Big 4 firm.

Currently studying at the University of Florida for an L.L.M. degree in Taxation, McNally earned a J.D. and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. He earned a B.A. in Spanish from Florida International University and a B.S. in Accounting and Economics from the University of Tampa.
