Practice management platform TaxDome has released a client MCP, allowing a firm’s clients to reach their accountant from inside their own AI assistant.
Clients connect their TaxDome account to Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible assistant and ask in plain language such questions as, “What’s outstanding?” or “Is my return ready?”

“We’re focused on providing the best possible client experience wherever clients are: the mobile app, the web, and now the assistant in their pocket,” Ilya Radzinsky, co-founder of TaxDome, said in a statement Nov. 4.
“Today this is for early adopters,” he added. “But AI assistants and agents will become a bigger part of the consumer experience, and accountants using TaxDome will be there to provide it.”
According to TaxDome, here’s what’s launching:
- Client MCP: Ask your assistant about documents, requests, and invoices in the same chat clients use for everything else. One connection covers all of a client’s entities, and when something needs a signature or a payment, the assistant hands over the exact link: one tap, and it opens in the app.
- Scoped to the client, by design: A connection sees only what the client already sees: their own accounts and sign-in, nothing of the firm’s data beyond them.
- No cost to firms or clients: The AI client experience is included with the TaxDome platform, independent of the firm’s AI add-on.
The client MCP is live today for all firms, in the Claude directory and the ChatGPT plugin store.
