DocuSend Completes SOC 2 Type I Examination

A SOC 2 examination provides an independent assessment of a service organization’s controls.

DocuSend, a cloud-based print and mail service, has completed its SOC 2 Type I audit, performed by KirkpatrickPrice. This attestation provides evidence that DocuSend has a strong commitment to security and to delivering high-quality services to its clients by demonstrating that they have designed the necessary internal controls and processes.

A SOC 2 examination provides an independent assessment of a service organization’s controls relevant to the applicable AICPA Trush Services Criteria.  DocuSend’s SOC 2 Type 1 examination covers Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and assesses the suitability of the design of its controls as of a specified date.

“Security and the responsible handling of our customers’ documents and data have always been fundamental to how we operate,” said Jim Stewart, Founder and CEO of DocuSend. “Completing our SOC 2 Type I examination provides independent validation of the controls and processes we have built into our operations. It gives our customers additional assurance that when they entrust sensitive business documents to DocuSend, Security, Processing Integrity and Accountability are built into the way we deliver our services.”

“The SOC 2 audit is based on the Trust Services Criteria,” said Joseph Kirkpatrick, President of KirkpatrickPrice. “DocuSend provides services that its clients rely on, and its SOC 2 Type 1 examination offers an independent assessment of the design of the controls supporting these services.”
