Global small business accounting platform Xero has launched Xero Coaches in the U.S., a new program that combines accounting software with expert one-on-one guidance.
Provided within the first 90 days of a new U.S. Xero subscription, Xero Coaches provides small businesses with onboarding support and product training to help set up their accounts, streamline financial workflows, and get started with confidence, the company says.
Xero Coaches assists small business owners early in their journey by connecting them with onboarding specialists for premium support and in-depth product training, helping them get more from Xero and save time from the start. This is designed to complement the critical role accountants and bookkeepers play in helping small businesses understand and manage their finances.

“As Xero continues to deliver more value through its product innovations, we’re excited to introduce dedicated human support to help customers navigate and get the most out of these new features and capabilities,” Xero U.S. CEO Matan Bar said in a statement on May 5. “With Xero Coaches, we’re combining powerful accounting software with human expertise early on in their journey to take the stress out of onboarding and help customers get value from Xero across invoicing, bill pay, payroll, cash flow insights, and more. For accountants and bookkeepers, that means clients who are better informed in Xero, have clearer data, and are more ready for higher-value advisory conversations.”
Xero Coaches are product onboarding specialists who work with small businesses one on one during their first 90 days to help them get started with Xero so they can use the platform more effectively.
Through scheduled sessions, Xero Coaches can assist with tasks such as:
- Setting up Xero and connecting bank feeds.
- Providing training on how to manage invoices, bills, and expenses.
- Discovering tools and apps that support their business.
Sessions include a booked virtual call designed to help customers address common challenges and leave with clear next steps they can implement right away or discuss further with their accounting or bookkeeping advisor.
Xero says the launch of Xero Coaches reflects a broader shift as the company evolves from traditional accounting software into an AI-native financial operating system where businesses can manage their operations and cash flow with greater clarity and confidence, supported by both smart tools and human guidance.
“Small businesses are up against an increasingly complex financial landscape making access to trusted experts more important than ever,” Bar said. “Helping business owners onboard more confidently is one more way Xero is investing in the success of its customers and the wider advisory community.”
Xero Coaches is available to eligible U.S. customers in the first 90 days and is included with their existing subscription.
