Leo Berwick Bolsters Financial Due Diligence Practice with Senior Hires in North America and India 

Leo Berwick, a premier global tax and financial advisory firm serving leading infrastructure, private equity and pension funds and their portfolio companies, recently y announced the expansion of its Financial Due Diligence (FDD) practice with senior hires in India and North America. Based in Gurugram, National Capital Region (NCR) of India, Mayanka Sharma has joined Leo Berwick’s FDD team as the firm’s first Country Leader, marking a key milestone in the firm’s global expansion. Leo Berwick is also strengthening its North American FDD offering with the addition of Ryan Orme as Managing Director and Justin Liao as Director. Additionally, the firm is proud to bring on board Craig Wigginton, Erik Lange and Anthony Bohnert as Senior Advisors to support the FDD practice and the firm more broadly. 

In her new role, Ms. Sharma will support Leo Berwick’s North American clients with investments in India, as well as the firm’s growing global client base. She has more than 18 years of experience in financial planning and analysis as well as consulting, having previously held FDD leadership roles at Big 10 consulting firms in India and the United States. Ms. Sharma has been instrumental in scaling up operations for Global Capability Centers in India. 

Mr. Orme has more than 20 years of transaction advisory and financial due diligence experience, having led more than 200 buy-side and sell-side engagements. Mr. Liao has more than 13 years of accounting and transaction advisory experience, having led financial due diligence on more than 100 buy-side and sell-side transactions. Mr. Orme and Mr. Liao both bring deep sector experience across energy and infrastructure, with previous experience at leading global advisory firms as well as Big Four accounting firms.

Mr. Wigginton, Mr. Lange and Mr. Bohnert together possess more than 100 years of experience advising clients through complex transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Mr. Wigginton has more than 35 years of experience advising clients in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors, while Mr. Lange spent the past 29 years advising clients on topics including servicing concessions, venture formations, and structured leasing. Mr. Bohnert has more than 40 years of experience advising emerging growth companies, private equity funds, and strategic clients across the energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. All three previously worked at Big Four firms. 

Becca Johns Joins Inovautus Consulting as Marketing Consultant 

Inovautus Consulting, a growth advisory firm serving accounting and professional services organizations nationwide, recently announced that Becca Johns has joined the firm as a Marketing Consultant. 

Johns brings 20 years of experience helping accounting firms drive sustainable growth through strategic marketing, branding, and communications. Before joining Inovautus, she served as Director of Practice Growth at a Top 100 accounting firm, where she partnered closely with firm leadership to align marketing strategy with business development, specialization, and long-term growth goals. 

At Inovautus, Johns will support clients across a range of initiatives, including brand strategy, go-to-market planning, and growth strategy initiatives designed to drive sustainable firm performance. Her work will focus on helping firms bring clarity and momentum to their growth efforts by connecting strategy to execution. 

Johns is widely recognized for her leadership and contributions to the accounting marketing profession. She was named one of Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting: Ones to Watch and was inducted into the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) Hall of Fame in 2024. She has also served in numerous leadership roles within AAM, including Board President. 

Holly Pantzer named leader of Forvis Mazars Wealth Advisory practice unit

Forvis Mazars LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States, recently appointed Holly Pantzer as Managing Partner of its Wealth Advisory practice. Pantzer has served as the National Sector Leader for Forvis Mazars Private Client since 2020 and will continue in that role.

As the leader of Wealth Advisory, Pantzer will oversee strategic initiatives and client service delivery, leveraging her years of experience and breadth of knowledge to drive growth and innovation for the firm’s clients.

Pantzer has extensive experience providing tax compliance, consulting, and planning services to individuals, families, fiduciaries, and private foundations. As a Forvis Mazars Private Client advisor, she also focuses on helping clients build and preserve their family’s legacy through an integrated suite of services designed to address multigenerational objectives. She is the Vice Chair of the Forvis Mazars US Governing Board, which sets the strategic direction of the firm.

Pantzer succeeds Steve Toomey, who recently retired after more than two decades with Forvis Mazars Wealth Advisors, LLC.

Grant Thornton Appoints Craig Woodfield to Lead Assurance Quality & Risk

The audit and assurance firm of Grant Thornton in the U.S., Grant Thornton LLP, has recently named Craig Woodfield national managing partner of Assurance Quality and Risk. In this role, he will oversee all quality control and risk functions for Grant Thornton’s Audit & Assurance business. Woodfield succeeds Jeff Hughes, who will be retiring in June 2026 after a successful 40-year career.

Based in the firm’s New York City office, Woodfield joined Grant Thornton in 2007 and has more than 30 years of experience in the accounting and audit industry. Most recently, he served as the Northeast region Audit practice leader. His previous roles also include serving as the Audit practice leader for the firm’s East and Central regions, as well as a Financial Services and Technology industry-focused engagement partner and as a partner in the firm’s Professional Standards Group.

Woodfield is a certified public accountant in both New York and Texas and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and sits on the professional accounting advisory board of Southern Methodist University (SMU) Cox School of Business.

BDO USA Names New National Managing Principals for Assurance and Tax, Signaling New Phase of Growth 

BDO USA, one of the nation’s leading accounting and advisory firms, recently announced the appointment of two new national managing principals to lead the firm’s assurance and tax practices as it continues to grow and drive innovation in the profession. Demetrios Frangiskatos has assumed the role of National Managing Principal of Assurance, effective July 1, 2025, and Mat DeMong has assumed the role of National Managing Principal of Tax, effective January 1, 2026.

Demetrios Frangiskatos, a proven leader and the architect of BDO’s digital audit strategy, joined BDO in 2000 and became a partner (now principal) in 2011. With more than 25 years of experience driving innovation and delivering client value, he is well positioned to guide the practice’s next era of growth and transformation. In this role, Frangiskatos defines the strategy and oversees the team and client delivery experience across BDO’s audit, attest, financial accounting advisory, and technology risk capabilities.

Frangiskatos’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping BDO’s approach to innovation and quality, helping clients navigate an evolving regulatory landscape and seize opportunities in the capital markets.

Most recently, Frangiskatos served as assurance managing partner of the firm’s East Region and oversaw the BDO Advantage team. He previously served as Technology & Media Group industry leader and sat on the Audit Quality Advisory Council.

DeMong Emphasizing Collaboration and Client-Focused Approach Within Tax

Mat DeMong, recognized for his forward-thinking leadership and commitment to thoughtfully embracing technology, joined BDO in 2004 as a tax associate and steadily expanded his strategic oversight by embracing a collaborative “one firm” philosophy. He leverages the full strength of BDO’s tax practice, industry groups, and internal teams to deliver significant results to the firm’s clients.

After becoming a tax partner (now principal) in 2013, DeMong was appointed managing partner of the Boston Tax office and later named northeast tax regional managing partner in 2019. He has held his current role as east tax managing principal since 2023.

Frangiskatos is a member of the executive team, reporting to Berson. Upon Matt Becker assuming the role of BDO USA CEO on July 1, 2026, DeMong will join the Executive Team and report directly to Becker.
