PBMares Takes Over RSM US's Office in Wilmington, NC

PBMares, a top 100 accounting and consulting firm, is expanding its footprint in North Carolina with the acquisition of the Wilmington, NC, office of RSM US, the fifth largest accounting firm in the U.S. by revenue.

As of Dec. 2, PBMares acquired substantially all the assets of RSM’s Wilmington location, and the Wilmington team is now serving clients as PBMares.

PBMares CPAs and Consultants is headquartered in Newport News, VA, with offices across Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina. The addition continues PBMares’ expansion into North Carolina which began in 2020 with the acquisition of RSM offices in Morehead City and New Bern.

The former RSM team will continue operations at its office, rebranded as PBMares, at 300 N. 3rd St., fifth floor, in Wilmington. The RSM US Alliance is an affiliation of independent accounting, consulting, and professional services firms.
