Julie A. Dee Joins BKD as Partner in Chicago

Dee has more than 25 years of public accounting experience. During her career she has provided federal and international tax services to privately held corporations, partnerships, individuals and nonprofit organizations.

Russell Romanelli, managing partner of BKD’s Chicago office, is pleased to announce the addition of Julie A. Dee as a partner in the firm’s tax practice.

Dee has more than 25 years of public accounting experience. During her career she has provided federal and international tax services to privately held corporations, partnerships, individuals and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining BKD, Dee worked for two large international accounting firms.

“We are very excited to bring Julie on board at BKD,” said Romanelli. “Julie has spent her entire career working and consulting with privately held, middle-market businesses here in Chicago, with an emphasis on sophisticated tax planning issues. BKD is laser focused on this market and Julie improves our capabilities immensely.”

In addition to her work for clients, Dee has presented in numerous community and industry forums during her career, including for the American Institute of CPAs, Illinois CPA Society, Wisconsin Institute of CPAs, Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law and the Healthcare Financial Management Association, among others.

Dee is a graduate of Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. She also holds a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Denver in Colorado.
