Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg, LLP Welcomes Two Tax Managers  

The accounting firm Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg, LLP, San Diego’s largest independent public accounting firm, recently announced that Felix Jandoquile and Matt Lundgren have joined the firm as tax managers. 

Jandoquile is an enrolled agent with 25 of years of experience providing accounting services to S corporations and partnerships. He specializes in tax and financial statement preparation, internal audits, fixed assets, cash flow and bank reconciliations. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a focus in accounting from University of the Philippines. 

Lundgren is a CPA with seven years of experience providing tax and accounting services. Lundgren also specializes in foreign matters, concentrating on the taxation of United States volleyball athletes playing abroad in Europe and Asia.  He lectures an accounting course at California State University, San Marcos, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  He holds a Master of Business Administration in advanced accounting from Colorado Christian University. 

FASB Names New Members to Its Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee

The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) today announced the appointment of seven new members to its Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee (NAC), effective January 1, 2022.

The NAC serves as a standing resource for the FASB. Its role is to obtain input from the not-for-profit sector on existing financial reporting guidance, current and proposed technical agenda projects, and longer term or pervasive financial reporting matters affecting those organizations.

The new members of the NAC are:

1.    Brian Conner, Partner, Moss Adams LLP

2.     Alex Galeano, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Independent                               Community Bankers of America

3.     Andrea Kantor, Senior Vice President, Group Head: Not-for-Profit Banking, BHI

4.     Brian McAllister, Professor, University of Colorado—Colorado Springs

5.     JR Miller, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

6.     Deana Paradis, Chief Financial Officer, Louisville Collegiate School

7.     Ksenia Popke, Partner, Eide Bailly.

Each new member was appointed to a four-year term ending on December 31, 2025.

John Campell Promoted to Member (Partner) at Isdaner & Company, LLC

Isdaner & Company, LLC , an independently owned and operated accounting firm in the Philadelphia area, recently announced that John Campell, CPA has been promoted to Member (partner) of the tax department at Isdaner & Company, LLC effective January 1, 2022.

John joined the firm in 2017 as a manager in the department.  For over a decade, John has been providing his clients with expertise in multi-state tax returns, guidance in ever-changing tax regulations and laws, and strategic tax planning at federal, state and local levels.  He has also resolved several IRS and state level examinations for his clients.

John received his Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University with majors in Computer Science and Accounting.  His professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
