TIAG Announces Several Additions to Advisory Board
TIAG recently announced the addition of five new Advisory Board members: Markus Dankl (INTERCURA); Jan Depoorter (SBB Accountants & Advisors); Paul Maberly (Mercer & Hole); Keith May (Richey May & Co.); and Randall Myeroff (Cohen & Company). As members, they will be responsible for assisting TIAG’s management in reviewing prospective new members, offering feedback for the planning of international conferences and providing valuable guidance on future plans and initiatives.

CohnReznick Names New Partners
CohnReznick LLP recently announced the following appointments of several new partners:

  • David Logan, CPA as a partner and leader in its Financial Services Industry Tax Practice. Logan has more than 30 years of tax and business advisory experience in financial services, specializing in the investment management industry. He has provided consulting and compliance services on financial products taxation and investor reporting, as well as the formation, structuring, and taxation of public and private investment funds. Logan received his B.B.A. from Pace University.
  • Timothy D. Brown, CPA as a partner and National Director of Audit. Brown will have responsibility for all CohnReznick matters related to applicable audit standards, including the adoption of new AICPA and PCAOB audit standards and the clarification of existing standards. He has more than 16 years of public accounting and audit experience in the life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, professional services, construction and engineering industries. Brown graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science, Applied Economics and Business Management.
  • Kent Burgess, PMP, as a principal for CohnReznick Government and Public Sector Advisory. Burgess has more than 15 years of project management and information technology experience and will focus on state government consulting. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies/Philosophy from Mississippi College.
  • Gary Franklin, CPA, as a partner and member of the firm’s Private Enterprise Practice. Franklin will provide tax, accounting, and advisory services to owners of closely held businesses in a variety of industries, as well as real estate entities and high net-worth individuals. He has 30 years of experience working in public accounting and for publicly traded REITs. Franklin received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, from the University of Maryland.
  • Cheryl V. Joseph, CPA as partner and member of the firm’s National Tax Practice. Her expertise includes consulting with closely-held middle market companies and large publicly traded Fortune 500 companies on topics such as corporate tax, earnings and profits, transaction costs, and structuring asset sales and purchases. Joseph received her Masters of Science degree from George Washington University and Bachelor’s degree from Howard University.
  • Pushpita Kotikalapudi, CPA as partner and member of the firm’s Affordable Housing Practice. She has more than 15 years of public accounting experience working with not-for-profit organizations, real estate developers, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits Funds and LIHTC syndicators nationwide. Kotikalapudi received her Master of Accountancy from Western Carolina University and her Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Stella Maris College in Chennai, India.
  • Christina Lee, CPA as partner in the firm’s New York, NY office. She has more than 12 years of international public accounting experience in a variety of industries. Lee graduated from Queens College with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Systems and received her Master of Science in Taxation from Baruch College.


  • Blaise Moreland, CPA as partner in the firm’s Bethesda, MD practice. He has more than 12 years of accounting and consulting experience working in commercial and residential real estate, construction, employee benefit plans and middle market companies. Moreland received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and Bachelor of Science in Decision Information Technology from the University of Maryland.
  • Jeff Moskowitz, CPA as partner in the firm’s New York, NY office. He has more than 13 years of experience analyzing quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with SEC regulations, assessing internal control procedures and performing annual audits of private companies. In 2015, Moskowitz was named as a CPA Practice Advisor “40 Under 40” honoree. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Information Systems from Queens College.
  • Laura Wilder, CPA as partner and member of the firm’s Tax Practice. Wilder has provided tax compliance services to clients in the retail, real estate and not-for-profit industries for 15 years. Wilder received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Master of Accountancy from Washington State University.
  • John Yin, CPIM as a principal, leading CIO Advisory Services and ERP Solutions in CohnReznick Advisory’s Technology and Digital and Innovation Services Practice. Yin assists clients with their IT strategy and roadmaps, system selections and implementations. He also provides advice on maximizing their investment in IT and aligning their technology with their business strategy.  Yin received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University and his MBA in Management and Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business.

AGN Announces New North American Regional Director
AGN recently announced that Kathy Sautters has joined its team as the new Regional Director for North America. In her new role, Sautters will lead the operations for the region, working closely with staff and the North American Board of Directors to retain the association’s membership levels and explore new opportunities for growth and advancement, as well as lead the development efforts for global initiatives and programs to support the association’s new global brand. Sautters has nearly 20 years of branding, media relations, internal communication and client relations experience.

PwC Announces New Partners
PricewaterhouseCoopers recently announced the appointment of several new partners to its Risk Assurance practice: Harshad Pitkar, Jerry Hufton and Chris Lucado. Pitkar will be responsible for driving the continued growth of PwC’s Financial Services Data Analytics solution, as well as developing and executing strategic initiatives to expand the firm’s services into the areas of risk and regulation. He earned his M.S. in Information Systems from Drexel University and his B.E. in Electronics Engineering from Mumbai University.

Hufton has more than 22 years of experience in deep enterprise risk, audit, finance and compliance. He will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the firm’s insurance go-to market strategy. Hufton earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Lucado will focus his efforts on driving national growth. He has more than 15 years of experience as an internal auditor, special investigator and advisory professional in the areas of corporate fraud, high yield securities fraud, financial institution fraud, wire fraud and money laundering. Lucado earned a BA in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Queens University in Charlotte.

The ITA Appoints Vice President
The Information Technology Alliance recently named Lissa Johnsen as Vice President of the ITA. In her new role, Johnson will have responsibility for majority of the responsibilities of ITA’s Executive Director. Johnsen, a long-time ITA member, has also served on the ITA Board of Directors and as treasurer. She managed her own IT consulting firm, Business Technology Solutions for over 15 years before merging it into Net@Work, where she currently serves as Employer Solutions Practice Director.

O’Connor Davies Debuts New Name; Announces Promotions
O’Connor Davies, LLP recently announced that it has expanded its relationship with PKF International to become PKF O’Connor Davies. As part of this strategic move, the firm also launched a new website which features an enhanced resource section where clients, prospects and industry professionals can access thought leadership materials and commentary on industry issues. In addition, O’Connor Davies’ clients will have access to experts and firms in 440 cities and 150 countries around the world.

The firm also announced the promotions of Matthew Corona, CPA, Jeff Shaver, CPA and Jonathan Zuckerman, CPA to partner and Thomas DeMayo, CISA to principal. Corona specializes in employee benefit programs, overseeing more than 60 employee benefit plan audits annually.

Shaver’s expertise includes on-site audit engagements and audit and advisory services for privately held companies, counties, cities, towns and school districts.

Zuckerman provides accounting and auditing services to commercial clients, real estate investment trusts, not-for-profit organizations and hospitality clients.

DeMayo serves commercial, not-for-profit, governmental, healthcare and higher education clients. His focus is on designing and implementing IT audit programs and testing procedures.
