Wolters Kluwer, CCH has added new features and enhancements to its CCH Mobile app, winner of the 2014 SIIA Software CODiE Award for Best Enterprise Mobile Application.

In addition to the convenience of securely connecting with the latest tax industry news, journals, in-depth research and client database information on the go, the CCH Mobile app (available now on iOS8 for Apple iPad and iPhone as well as on Android and Kindle Fire HD devices) now features Did You Mean? functionality. This popular enhancement uses auto spell, spellcheck and search suggest features all rolled into one.

Did You Mean? is designed for tax professionals — customized and focused to meet tax-specific research needs. It intelligently pinpoints answers while filtering out irrelevant search results and even suggests tax-relevant search corrections. Advanced Did You Mean? technology also provides users with tax research options when unintentionally entering misspelled terms on the fly.

CCH Mobile also includes improved navigation and faster login effectiveness. These user-friendly enhancements enable faster access when logging in as well as searching for and opening documents.

“We consistently listen to customers’ feedback on ways mobile technology can make their jobs easier,” said Josh Braunstein, Vice President and General Manager of Research & Learning for Wolters Kluwer, CCH. “By introducing more user-friendly features such as Did You Mean? and easier navigation to deliver faster answers wherever and whenever details are needed, we’re boosting efficiency by helping professionals get more done in less time.”

Other advanced CCH Mobile app features include:

  • Voice-recognition, read-back ability — Users can search for answers by telling CCH Mobile what they need. Through voice commands it’s easy to pinpoint specific content, such as searching for IRC section numbers and by speaking simple phrases. The app’s voice can even read back the latest CCH Tax News Highlights and other content — making for convenient listening on mobile devices, especially when traveling.
  • Customized settings — It’s easy to customize the CCH Mobile home screen by adding tax trackers, favorites and research folders. Items can be dragged and dropped anywhere on the screen to create a truly customized experience. Users also can create custom pages with specific resources, save and even create their own CCH Smart Charts.
  • Offline access — By saving news and research results to their mobile device’s PDF document reader, users can access content anytime, even without an Internet connection.
