Grant Thornton Names New Leader of its Atlanta State and Local Tax Practice
Grant Thornton LLP named Mark Arrigo, CPA as leader of the firm’s Atlanta State and Local Tax practice. Arrigo previously worked in Grant Thornton’s Tampa office as head of the Florida SALT practice. He has nearly 25 years of experience assisting public and private companies with controversy resolution, analysis of mergers and acquisitions, tax provision consulting and state tax planning and restructurings. Arrigo received his master’s of business administration degree from Tulane University and his bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University.

Marcum LLP Names New Los Angeles Partner-in-Charge
Marcum LLP recently named Neil Prasad, CPA has been named Partner-in-Charge of its Los Angeles office. In his new role, Prasad will oversee all tax, audit and advisory services to Marcum clients in Los Angeles, in addition to his previous management responsibilities as Partner-in-Charge of Marcum’s Los Angeles Assurance Services group. He has more than 16 years of consulting experience in the areas of SEC policies, practices and procedures and assurance services for publicly traded companies. Prasad graduated from California State University, Northridge with his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

CohnReznick Selects New Managing Principal/National Director and Partner 
CohnReznick recently announced the appointment of Keith Denham as Managing Principal and National Director of CohnReznick Advisory Group and Joseph F. Scutellaro, CPA as a tax partner in the firm’s Eatontown, NJ office.

Denham, who will be succeeding Anthony Zecca, has more than 20 years of advisory and consulting experience in information technology, governance, risk management, cyber security and finance transformation. He has served at Deloitte, most recently as Retail and Consumer Products Advisory Services Leader. Denham will be based in the firm’s Boston office, where he is also very active in the community.

Scutellaro has almost 30 years of diversified public accounting experience and Joe specializes in working with clients in the financial services and technology industries, including high-net-worth individuals and attorneys. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fordham University. Scutellaro will also bring with him three tax professionals: Shaune Scutellaro, manager; Thomas Cimochowski, senior; and Christopher Padulano, senior.

WeiserMazars Acquires pmpm Consulting Group Inc.
WeiserMazars LLP recently announced the acquisition of pmpm Consulting Group Inc., a national health care consulting firm specializing in providing network development, contracting, credentialing, regulatory monitoring, oversight and compliance audits to payers and providers. As part of the acquisition, Russell Foster, founder of pmpm, and Sheila Stephens will join WeiserMazars’ Health Care Practice as Principals, along with a team of six professionals.

PwC’s Risk Assurance Practice Names New Principal
PwC US recently selected Seth Rosensweig to join the firm as a principal in the Risk Assurance practice to support its growing Advanced Risk & Compliance Analytics service line. In his new role, Rosensweig will be responsible for providing data analytics services to help clients strengthen their risk and regulatory compliance functions. He has significant financial services risk and compliance experience, and received his Master’s degree in business management from Columbia University and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware.
