Top 10 Canadian accounting firm Mallette announced it has joined The International Accounting Group, an international alliance of more than 110 independent accounting firms. Mallette employs more than 700 people in 23 offices throughout Quebec Province.

“This is a very important step for the future of our firm and clients,” said Serge Lemieux, General Managing Partner of Mallette. “In the global economy in which we live, our clients need the highest quality financial and legal guidance throughout the world at a fair price. TIAG gives us the relationships and confidence we need to continue serving our clients effectively.”

The addition of Mallette is another significant development in TIAG’s North American expansion strategy. Top industry consultant, Allan D. Koltin, CEO of Koltin Consulting Group has been assisting TIAG in the implementation of this strategy. Late last month, Koltin advised Berdon LLP, a U.S. Top 50 accounting firm in New York, on their decision to join the rapidly expanding alliance, and is in active discussions with other top U.S. firms.

“Mallette’s reputation throughout Quebec and Canada is one of the many reasons we were attracted to them,” said Robert Sattin, President of the TAG Alliances. “We are excited Mallette is joining The TAG Alliances and for the added impetus their membership gives to our North American expansion strategy.”

Representatives from Mallette will attend the upcoming TAG Alliances International Conference in Munich, Germany on October 21-23. At the conference, Mallette will be formally introduced to TIAG and TAGLaw members from around the world.
