Dixon Hughes Goodman, one of the largest public accounting firms in the South, announced plans to expand to Nashville, Tenn., and the Tampa Bay Area, Fla.

“We are extremely intentional about going to market as an industry and service-based firm by strategic geographical locations,” said Kent Satterfield, Chief Operating Officer for Dixon Hughes Goodman. “By securing a greater presence in these key states, we are better equipped to deliver greater insights and service to our existing and future clients.”

DHG will open a new office in the Nashville area in efforts to support its commitment to the Nashville healthcare and business communities. The new Nashville office, scheduled to open in early 2014, will also feature a risk advisory team, led by Mark Schmadtke, who has successfully led such services at a variety of healthcare and other organizations in both the Nashville area and across the country. Kevin Locke, who is relocating from DHG Healthcare’s Cleveland area office, will serve as the Nashville Office Managing Principle. Locke has more than 22 years of comprehensive healthcare consulting experience.

The Tampa Bay area office will open in October and initially be comprised of professionals from the firm’s Insurance Services Group. Eventually, it will expand to include a variety of the firm’s major industry and service line offerings. Marty Wingate will serve as office managing partner, bringing more than 20 years of public accounting experience to the firm.
