Boomer Consulting, Inc., provider of firm management and technology consulting communities has partnered with Engineered Tax Services, provider of specialty tax services, to offer the Specialty Tax Circle.

“This is a great opportunity for our firms to focus on opportunities and share experiences using the resources from Engineered Tax Services and Boomer Consulting,” said Julio Gonzalez, CEO of Engineered Tax Services. “Boomer Consulting knows how to successfully develop and facilitate communities via face-to-face meetings, webinars and the Boomer Knowledge Network.”

Member firms of the Specialty Tax Circle will have access to resources, such as meetings, webinars and the Boomer Knowledge Network, to help improve their growth and profitability. The Specialty Tax Circle will leverage technical, IT and business development skills to achieve its goal of creating a community of CPAs to manage specialty tax-related resources. By developing this community, the Specialty Tax Circle aims to bridge the gap between compliance and tax-related consulting services, offer new specialty tax services to clients and assist with change management efforts.

“Historically the Boomer Technology Circles have focused on leveraging technology and practice management. We are taking the successful components of this program and teaming with ETS to help firms focus on both compliance and planning opportunities associated with tax credits and specialty taxes,” said L. Gary Boomer, CEO of Boomer Consulting. “The ultimate goal is to provide clients with valued services, while insuring compliance and protecting the firm.”

The Specialty Tax Circle will host two meetings and two webinars each year. The first meeting is scheduled to take place June 17-18, 2012 in Kansas City, MO. Topics include specialty tax update, opportunities and data mining tools, and the fixed price agreement. The second meeting will take place January 15-16, 2013 in Las Vegas and will cover the accountability review, firm reports and talent development. Both meetings will help members create a 90-day plan.

Boomer added, “I am excited to take our proven model into the specialty tax arena where firms can learn about identifying opportunities, best practices, trends, and how to leverage technology in the process.
