Intronis Expands Channel Leadership Team
Intronis, Inc. recently announced the appointment of Chris Crellin as Vice President of Product Management and Scott Graham as Vice President of IT & Operations. In his new role, Crellin will lead the company’s product strategy and management initiatives. His past experience includes product strategy, software engineering, product management and cloud-to-cloud backup.

Graham will oversee the strategic development and execution of Itronis’ IT initiatives, operations and research and development. He has extensive experience in the development and implementation of cloud-based solutions and has held several senior management positions.

Grant Thornton Hires New Principal and Partner
Grant Thornton recently hired David Rock as a principal for its Corporate Advisory & Restructuring Services; Kevin Kelly as a partner in its Audit practice; and Carlos A. Otal, CPA as managing partner of its Global Public Sector. Rock has held several senior executive positions and has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, in the areas of strategic planning, operations, process improvement, leadership development and financial management for hospitals and health care systems. He graduated from the University of Michigan with his bachelor’s degree in finance and a registered nursing diploma. He received his master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Kelly’s financial accounting and audit and advisory services career spans more than 20 years in the retail and apparel industry. He has extensive experience in acquisitions and divestitures, Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and compliance, public offerings, risk management and process improvement, internal audit, internal controls, due diligence and team development. Kelly graduated with his bachelors of business administration degree in accounting from Hofstra University.

Otal has 25 years of management improvement services experience. He has worked with clients to audit internal and financial statements, as well as in program management, strategy, acquisition and business model development. Otal earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a certificate in project management from George Washington University.

Scheffel Boyle Principal Retires
Scheffel Boyle recently announced the retirement of Larry M. Rose, CPA, principal in its Bethalto, Illinois, office. Rose has spent more than 40 years in public accounting. Following Rose’s retirement, Scheffel Boyle will combine its Bethalto office location with its Alton, Edwardsville, and Belleville offices.

NYSSCPA Names New President
The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants has elected Joseph M. Falbo Jr., CPA, CGMA as its new president. Falbo is a partner and member of the executive committee at Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP. As president of NYSSCPA, Falbo will oversee the society’s NextGen program, which offers career support and networking opportunities to young accounting professionals. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Accounting from Niagara University in Lewiston.

CohnReznick Hires New Partner
CohnReznick LLP recently announced the appointment of Lynne H. Gummo, CPA as a partner in the firm’s Government Contracting Industry Practice. Gummo’s expertise includes attest services, FAR and CAS consulting, cost allowability and benchmarking issues, DCAA compliance, 8(a), ANC and USAID regulations, and cost proposal development. She received her bachelor of business administration in professional accountancy from Pennsylvania State University.

WSFS Bank and ZenBanx Form Strategic Alliance
WSFS Financial Corporation recently formed a Strategic Alliance with ZenBanx Holding Ltd. to offer the ZenBanx Account in the United States, allowing customers to hold balances in up to five currencies in a single account, as well as conveniently and securely transfer funds domestically or internationally and among currencies.

Rehmann Named to List of Best Public Accounting Firms for Women
Rehmann was been named to the Accounting MOVE Project Best CPA Firms for Women List, which recognizes firms with high percentages of women partners and principals. The 2015 Accounting MOVE Project reports the percentage of women partners and principals increased to 22 percent from 17 percent, five years ago.

Intacct’s Director Recognized by CRN
Intacct recently announced that Stephanie Kleber, director of Channel & Sales Enablement, was recognized by CRN as one of the Top Women of the Channel for the third consecutive year. The Women of the Channel honors female executives who are prominently involved in the IT channel and have had a significant impact on the industry. As director, Kleber manages numerous initiatives at Intacct designed to enhance the company’s channel and direct hybrid strategy, such as the creation of multi-day, business building conferences that are helping to transform Intacct’s partner sales and marketing capabilities.

LBMC Names New Managing Partner
LBMC has named Jeffery S. Drummonds, CPA as its new managing partner. Drummonds has 29 years of experience, providing tax services to public companies and working on private equity transactions and SEC filings. He’s been with LBMC for the past 14 years, delivering tax services to clients with an emphasis on the healthcare industry.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch Names New Global Commercial Banking Market Executive
Bank of America Merrill Lynch recently announced it has named David Batson as Market Executive for its Global Commercial Banking division. In his new role, Batson will manage a team that builds client strategies and helps clients meet their financial goals. He has more than 20 years of commercial, energy and real estate banking experience and graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a bachelor’s degree in management and finance.

Stowe & Degon, LLC Announces Promotions
Stowe & Degon, LLC recently announced the following promotions: Vera Raposo to audit supervisor; Dan Sargent, CPA, Lauren Siebold, Steve Scannell to audit supervising senior; and Andrew Scott to audit senior. Raposo has more than 15 years of public accounting experience working with Uniform Financial Reporting and A-133 testing. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University and her MBA from Nichols College.

Sargent has experience in SEC reporting and compliance, software and construction revenue recognition, and reviews and compilations. Sargent graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance and an MBA in Management from Assumption College.

Siebold has served clients in the manufacturing, technology, service and non-profit industries. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and her Masters of Science in Accounting at the University of Connecticut.

Scannell has experience working with SEC clients and compilation and review engagements, as well as with many clients within the manufacturing, technology, service and non-profit industries. He graduated from Assumption College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Scott has served on manufacturing, construction and benefit plan engagements, and has provided Sarbanes-Oxley services to publicly held companies. He earned his Bachelor’s in Accounting at St. Joseph’s College and an MBA from Assumption College.
