Top 15 accounting firm CohnReznick said Tuesday it’s acquiring the Aldrich group of companies, which includes INSIDE Public Accounting top 100 firm Aldrich CPAs + Advisors and Aldrich Wealth, in a deal expected to close in mid-December.

Financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

This is the latest marriage between accounting firms in the top 100 by revenue this year. In June, top 10 accounting firm Baker Tilly announced the acquisition of New York City-based top 50 firm Anchin, Block & Anchin, which resulted in Baker Tilly relocating its headquarters from Chicago to the Big Apple.

The deal that garnered the most headlines was in July when private equity-backed Grant Thornton, the ninth-largest accounting firm in the U.S., announced it was buying CBIZ, the eighth-largest firm, in an all-cash transaction with an enterprise value of $5 billion. That move is expected to make Grant Thornton the fifth-biggest accounting firm by revenue in the country.
