Walter Shuffain, an INSIDE Public Accounting top 200 firm, has combined with Stolberg & Blanchette, a public accounting firm located in Worcester, MA.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
A member firm of the private equity-backed Ascend platform, Boston-based Walter Shuffain’s last M&A deal was in November 2025 when it merged with Richardson & Co. in Medway, MA.

Two incoming partners from Stolberg & Blanchette—Managing Partner Keith Blanchette and Glenn Creaven—hold the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential and will assist clients with business valuations and related advisory needs.
The Worcester office, located in a restored historical home, will remain a key part of the combined firm and will serve as an important anchor for Walter Shuffain’s continued growth and presence in Central Massachusetts, said Jonathan Yorks, managing partner of Walter Shuffain.
With the addition of Stolberg & Blanchette, Walter Shuffain now has approximately 125 professionals, including 25 partners, across offices in Boston, Westwood, and Worcester. As part of the combination, Keith Blanchette will join Walter Shuffain’s executive leadership team.
