BGM Adds John T. Chipman & Co. in Massachusetts

Minneapolis-based BGM, an INSIDE Public Accounting top 200 firm, is merging in John T. Chipman & Co., an accounting and advisory firm based in Norwood, MA.

Minneapolis-based BGM, an INSIDE Public Accounting top 200 firm, is merging in John T. Chipman & Co., an accounting and advisory firm based in Norwood, MA.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. As part of the combination, JTC will immediately begin operating under the BGM name. JTC partners David Foster and Lisa Gray, along with the firm’s team, will join BGM and continue serving clients from the Norwood office.

This is BGM’s first M&A deal in 2026. The firm’s last transaction was last November when it added The Vroman Group, an accounting and business consulting firm based in West Des Moines, Iowa.

The addition of JTC establishes BGM’s first Northeast location in the Boston area and expands its ability to serve clients throughout New England.

Established more than 35 years ago, JTC provides accounting, tax, consulting, and advisory services to small businesses, individuals, and closely held companies across a range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, real estate, medicine, law, and retail.
