CBIZ Inc., a national professional services advisor, is expanding its partnership with Microsoft Corp. to empower its team members through an enterprisewide AI initiative, rolling out new tools across the company to elevate the work of its team members and unlock deeper insights for clients.

CBIZ will leverage Microsoft Foundry to develop an agent-native operating platform, alongside Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Copilot Studio — enabling the company to embed AI more deeply across the organization, deploy AI agents, attract and retain top talent, and develop advanced systems tailored to CBIZ’s service lines and workflows.

“The middle market relies on CBIZ for industry and market insights, and our series of AI investments demonstrates our commitment to delivering high-value services for our clients,” said Jerry Grisko, President and CEO of CBIZ. “Investing in AI is investing in our people. By integrating AI into our team’s everyday workflows, we enable our team members to focus on the complex problem-solving, strategic advisory and relationship building that define our client service.”

“Building an AI-centric workforce is not just about adopting new technology — it’s about transforming how we work, how we serve clients and how we unlock human expertise at scale,” said David Fisher, Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at CBIZ. “With Microsoft, we are charting a new path for professional services companies in the middle market that, when paired with our industry expertise and breadth of services, allows our team members to expand value delivery, enter new markets and deliver deeper insights.”

This AI investment enables:

  • Enterprisewide deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot — equipping CBIZ team members with the right technology to be more efficient and focus on higher-value work.
  • AI enablement at scale — with AI training paths available to more than 9,500 CBIZ team members to help them better integrate AI into their day-to-day work.
  • AI‑driven workflows that act, not just answer — gathering inputs, triggering tasks and orchestrating multistep processes end to end.
  • Responsible, ethical AI by design — governed by leading frameworks and explicit guardrails that define approved use cases and controls.

“CBIZ is helping shape how the middle market is approaching AI in professional services,” said Katy Brown, CVP, Americas Market and Industries, Microsoft. “It has developed a scalable approach that weaves AI into the fabric of the organization, empowering teams to work smarter, innovate faster and focus on where they deliver the most value. With leadership committed to driving meaningful change, CBIZ is enhancing client insights, accelerating innovation across the business, and elevating the quality of service it delivers every day.”
