Lorrie Allegra has been promoted from Managing Director to Partner at BT Family Office (BTFO). In this expanded role, she will continue to lead the firm’s family office practice, which supports ultra‑high‑net‑worth families as they navigate the complexities that accompany substantial, multigenerational wealth. As Partner, she will also continue to champion innovation within the practice, leading her team in leveraging automation and emerging technologies to deliver even greater value, efficiency, and insight to clients. Allegra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and International Business from American University.
Ben Bowers has been promoted from Senior Manager to Managing Director in Bennett Thrasher’s Personal Financial Services practice. In this role, he will expand the firm’s market presence, foster new client relationships and provide exceptional service to high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses. Bowers will continue to focus on proactively delivering tax advisory services, staying ahead of evolving tax developments and offering strategic guidance to support informed client decision-making. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia.
Jackie Butcher has been promoted from Senior Manager to Managing Director in Bennett Thrasher’s Commercial Tax practice. Based in the firm’s Denver office, Butcher will lead the delivery of tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client base, including emerging startups and investment companies. Butcher brings a wealth of expertise working closely with partnership entities and advising high-net-worth individuals to support their strategic objectives, drive growth, and advise on tax-efficient strategies. Butcher holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (Taxation) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and Accounting) from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Michael McCord has been promoted from Senior Manager to Partner in Bennett Thrasher’s Commercial Tax practice. In his new role, he will deliver thoughtful, value-driven solutions for large- and middle-market clients, mentor associates and continue identifying opportunities to accelerate the firm’s growth. McCord has extensive compliance and consulting experience, with expertise in federal and state income tax provisions (ASC 740), federal, international, and multistate tax issues and mergers and acquisitions. His industry background includes manufacturing and distribution, technology, construction and professional services. He holds a Master of Taxation, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance from Georgia State University.

Katie Voorhies, CPA, was promoted to Audit Manager. She has over four years of public accounting experience providing audit services to for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations. Nate Bashore, CPA, was promoted to Audit Supervisor. He has three years of experience providing audit services to nonprofit organizations and governmental entities. Richard Sumida Joins CohnReznick as National Assurance Partner

Fuchs Rejoins CohnReznick as Financial Services Audit Partner
January 17, 2026 – CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, recently announced that Richard Fuchs has rejoined the firm as an audit partner in its Financial Services industry practice. Based in New Jersey, Fuchs has expertise leading assurance engagements for a variety of alternative investment firms including Broker-Dealers, Hedge Funds, Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs).
In his role as audit partner, Fuchs provides a wide range of accounting and audit services to the alternative investment community. He helps clients meet strict reporting and regulatory compliance obligations, including those needed to address SEC and FINRA Rules and Regulations. Fuchs also has experience conducting a range of employee benefit plan audits.
Fuchs most recently served as an assurance partner in the Financial Services practice of a Top 25 firm. Prior to that, he was an Office Managing Partner and Assurance Partner, Financial Services Industry, for another large firm.
