Bend, OR-based Capstone Accounting and Tax said Dec. 29 it has added North Star Tax & Accounting, further expanding its presence in Washington state with locations in Snohomish and Lynden.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Capstone also recently added Mark Rule & Co., a full-service tax and accounting firm in Butte, MT, that specializes in tax preparation for individuals and business, in early December.

Founded in 2008, North Star offers bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and virtual assistant services, among others, to business owners.
North Star partners David Romano and Sheena Frenzel will continue their practices as partners within Capstone.

Formerly known as Capstone CPAs, Capstone Accounting and Tax locked up an outside investment from San Diego-based private equity firm Seaside Equity Partners last April. Capstone said the outside capital will provide the financial and strategic support needed to accelerate its long-term growth, strengthen client service offerings, and expand its market presence through mergers and acquisitions.
