Confirmation.com announced today that it has expanded its presence in Europe with the acquisition of ProConfirm Ltd, an electronic audit confirmation solution based in London, UK.

The acquisition reinforces Confirmation.com’s position as the global provider of secure online audit confirmation services and brings in ProConfirm’s local expertise of the UK and European markets.

Confirmation provides secure electronic confirmation services for auditors, those responding to confirmation requests and their shared client.

“In Europe, there is a growing interest in our online audit confirmation service as more accounting firms and banks look for ways to improve operational efficiencies, and reduce the chance of financial fraud going undetected,” said Chris Schellhorn, CEO of Confirmation.com.

“We have had significant adoption in international markets of the Confirmation.com service these last two years,” Brian Fox, president of Confirmation.com added. “With the acquisition of ProConfirm, this growth will continue at an even more rapid pace.”
