Intuit Connect 2026: AI Agents, a New Partner Program, and a Unified Platform Take Center Stage

Intuit Connect 2026, an event packed with three days of product announcements, peer sessions, and strategy discussions. The overarching takeaway: Let AI tools handle routine work while leaving final decisions to the professional.

Thousands of accounting professionals gathered in Las Vegas in late October for Intuit Connect 2026, an event packed with three days of product announcements, peer sessions, and strategy discussions. The overarching takeaway: Let AI tools handle routine work while leaving final decisions to the professional.

Intuit Chairman and CEO Sasan Goodarzi opened the event by reiterating a shift he announced earlier this year in which accountants are Intuit’s customers. Based on his remarks, here’s what that means for your firm:

  • Intuit is innovating for you and with you: Firms have been co-creating with Intuit. Agentic Books Close, currently in pilot, lets you direct agents to do the work your way, no technical skills required.
  • Intuit sees your expertise as a critical differentiator: The Intuit platform can be customized based on your firm’s policies and preferences. This means your procedures and Playbooks (beta) ensure that Intuit Intelligence tracks its actions in an audit log and leaves the final call to you.
  • Intuit is investing in your growth: Intuit is investing billions of dollars a year in two outcomes: growth and efficiency. Intuit Accountant Suite and agentic offerings are built to free up your time for advisory work, ProPartner Network (coming soon) will match you with the clients you define, and QuickBooks, Intuit Enterprise Suite, and Intuit Accountant Suite work together as one connected platform, so you and your clients share questions, conversations, and data in one place.

One platform: Intuit Intelligence

Intuit Intelligence is the financial intelligence layer behind the Intuit platform. It draws on 40 years of accounting data and the patterns of 10 million businesses, and routes each task to the right AI, automation, or expert, including a network of more than 650,000 accountants.

Intuit’s chief technology officer, Alex Balazs, said that after speaking recently with more than 40 firms, one point stood out: Clients expect speed and fresh insight, but responsibility for correct financial outcomes still rests with the firm. Firm-defined policies and playbooks guide the AI, and a unified audit log tracks every action, with the accountant making the final call.

Every new experience is now tagged:

  • “Pilot,” a small group of firms validating the product.
  • “Beta, early adopters can use it now.
  • GA, or generally available.

Intuit Accountant Suite: What’s new

Diana Williams, vice president of Product for Accountants, demonstrated the latest additions to Intuit Accountant Suite:

  • Cross-client insights (beta): A single dashboard of client KPIs, with automatic flags for client anomalies coming soon.
  • Agentic Books Close (pilot): Agents follow a firm’s own close procedures inside the client’s QuickBooks file, handle routine work, and flag items needing attention. Nothing posts without explicit review, and every action leaves an audit trail. Pilot sign-up is open through late November. It is free during the pilot, but a paid add-on will be required afterward.
  • Playbooks (beta): Reusable onboarding templates by industry or service level. Firms can upload SOPs and client checklists, and have AI draft a playbook for review and approval.
  • Agent Studio (pilot): Firms can build custom AI agents for their workflows or specific clients without technical skills. Several firms have already deployed agents.
  • Agentic Advisory (coming soon): Drafts editable advisory packages with numbers verified against the ledger, assesses client progress toward goals, and prepares accountants for client meetings.

Intuit also acted on firm feedback with faster load times; a richer client list showing lead accountant, tax status, and connection health; expanded user groups and permissions; and a Resolution Center (beta) that tracks issues in one place.

ProPartner replaces ProAdvisor

The most consequential program change is the tiered ProPartner program, which replaces ProAdvisor in early 2027 with five tiers. Firms keep community access, training, 30% off QuickBooks, and tiered support. New benefits include increased revenue share, access to the ProPartner Network, and free Intuit Accountant Suite Accelerate for Premier and Elite partners.

The ProPartner Network, coming soon, will match eligible firms with businesses by specialty, including industry, revenue band, systems, and capacity. QuickBooks will prompt growing businesses to find an accountant, and Intuit Accountant Suite will surface relevant leads based on the firm’s profile.

To prepare, ProAdvisors should review the ProPartner Tier Preview inside Intuit Accountant Suite. Moving beyond the member tier requires one certified team member and one active connected client.

QuickBooks: Cleanup and ready-to-post workflows

Arundhati Singh, senior vice president of Platform, Small Business, and Accountants, focused on automating cleanup and posting based on firm-defined rules:

  • Agentic Chart of Accounts Cleanup Agent: Proposes a plan to consolidate and deduplicate accounts, inactivate unused ones, rename entries, and correct account and detail types. It inactivates rather than deletes, and only modifies transactions after the books-closed date. Drag-and-drop batch editing handles manual adjustments.
  • Ready-to-post transactions: AI prefills transactions field by field for bulk posting. Exceptions are flagged with the relevant policy and reason, and firms can set required fields and materiality thresholds per client or firm-wide.
  • Client insights: A “needs attention” module flags rising unpaid invoices and benchmarks collections against anonymized similar businesses, with a one-click weekly invoice chaser.
  • Invoicing in Claude and ChatGPT: Accountants and clients can create QuickBooks invoices from live customer data inside those tools. A third-party account may be required.
  • Platform and payroll: One-click locking of parent accounts, a unified audit log covering AI actions, integrations, and authorizations, self-service payroll corrections, and pre-day-one onboarding and benefits enrollment for new hires.
  • Unified inbox and KPIs: A shared client communication workspace that flags missing items, plus a KPI scorecard with 100+ preset metrics.

Intuit Enterprise Suite: Industry depth for mid-market clients

Wyatt Jenkins, senior vice president of Mid-Market Product, outlined four industry editions for Intuit Enterprise Suite. Construction and Manufacturing’s inventory foundation are in beta, while Nonprofit and Franchise are in pilot, although Intuit Enterprise Suite is available today for franchises and multi-unit operators.

New tools for firms serving mid-market clients include:

  • Agent Studio (pilot): Intuit has embedded engineers with about 20 firms to co-build agents. Eventually, firm-built agents may appear as branded agents inside QuickBooks and Intuit Enterprise Suite.
  • Sandboxes (beta): Firms can build a customized Intuit Enterprise Suite environment that’s preloaded with a prospect’s data to demonstrate the move before the client commits.
  • Migration manager (pilot): Tracks QuickBooks Desktop clients and their migration readiness in one view, and supports moves from competitors such as NetSuite and Sage.
  • Early Access Program: Lets firms control whether and who on their team tries pilot and beta features.

The roadmap includes global consolidation, custom objects, and advanced revenue recognition. Intuit also announced its acquisition of Sequence, an AI-native revenue management platform, a week before the event.

Building the talent pipeline

With client advisory being the fastest-growing service area in public accounting and hiring a top constraint, Intuit highlighted its Accounting Futures program, offering educators QuickBooks and advisory curriculum, free QuickBooks Level 1 certification, the Client Advisory Services Foundations ProAdvisor Badge, Industry Advisor mentors, and paid micro-internships. Intuit has committed to educating more than one million students over five years.
