Centri Makes an Impact in Communities Nationwide Through Annual VTO Day

Teams from Centri’s 10 offices partnered with local nonprofits to support food security, serve vulnerable populations and help maintain public green space.

Centri Business Consulting recently marked its annual company-wide Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Day, with nearly 200 team members donating their time and efforts to make a positive impact in communities across the country.

Teams from Centri’s 10 offices partnered with local nonprofits to support food security, serve vulnerable populations and help maintain public green space.

Food security was a common thread across many of the firm’s markets. Centri team members volunteered with the Atlanta Community Food Bank in Atlanta, the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas, Food Bank of the Rockies in Denver and Feeding Tampa Bay in Tampa. The team from the Minnesota office volunteered with Second Harvest Heartland, while members of the Philadelphia team supported the Share Food Program, a Philadelphia-area hunger relief organization.

Other Centri teams spent the day supporting organizations that provide essential services to people in their communities. Additional members of Centri’s Philadelphia team volunteered with Face to Face, a Germantown nonprofit that provides meals, health care, legal and social services to people experiencing poverty and homelessness. In Boston, team members worked alongside the kitchen staff at Rosie’s Place, the first women’s shelter in the United States, to prepare dinner for the organization’s guests.

That focus on direct community support extended to the firm’s Tysons Corner and Raleigh offices. The Tysons Corner team traveled to Washington, D.C., to volunteer at Bread for the City’s Southeast Center, which provides food, clothing, health care, legal and social services to D.C. residents. In Raleigh, Centri team members volunteered with Meals on Wheels, a national, community-based movement through which volunteers deliver meals directly to older adults.

Centri’s New York City team took a different approach to the day of service, focusing on environmental stewardship. Team members joined the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy at Hunter’s Point South Park in Long Island City, where they pulled invasive weeds, restored native plant habitats and helped maintain the park’s rain gardens, marsh grasses and other green infrastructure.

“Our people are the reason Centri has grown the way it has, and VTO Day is one way we channel that energy into the communities we call home,” said Michael Aiello, CEO and Managing Partner of Centri. “From food banks to a waterfront park, our teams showed up for organizations doing important work in every one of our markets. I couldn’t be prouder of how our offices came together to support the people and organizations that make these communities stronger.”
