Salesforce-native accounting solution Accounting Seed has introduced what it calls a “reimagined accounting experience” built around artificial intelligence that learns how each customer’s business operates.
Instead of applying a generic model, the company’s AI model builds knowledge of each business’s workflows, approval paths, policies, and revenue recognition rules, then applies that knowledge when answering questions and completing work.
The AI Assistant brings that intelligence directly into the metrics and records finance teams already use, Accounting Seed says.
“A leader looking at quarterly revenue can ask what is driving the change and get an answer grounded in the company’s own ledger and business activity,” Accounting Seed said in a media release. “Users can also ask broader questions, including requesting a cash flow forecast.”
Because Accounting Seed is built natively on Salesforce, its AI works across accounting data and Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and any other application on Salesforce. Teams can connect a financial result directly to the operational activity.
“We aren’t building another generic, walled-off AI that gives best guesses,” Accounting Seed CEO Nasser Chanda said in a statement. “We built an AI that knows your business rules—your workflows, your approval paths, and how your revenue is recognized. Every answer and task reflects how your company operates, within your permissions and audit trails.”
A new workflow interface maps out the split between people, automation, and AI. Teams can extend their capacity and track who handles each task, from matching bank transactions to creating payables from incoming emails and managing recurring billings. Every action is attributed to the person or technology that performed it and recorded in the audit trail.
Accounting Seed is also introducing the Close Hub to keep the close moving throughout the period. Finance teams can monitor open periods, track progress across ledgers, and use an AI-powered template builder to propose the next close checklist item. They can also ask AI to investigate blocked work directly from the hub.
“The close shouldn’t start when the month ends,” Ryan Sieve, chief technology officer of Accounting Seed, said in a statement. “An AI answer about cash or margin is only as good as the books underneath it. When your books stay current throughout the period, finance can spend less time chasing data and more time analyzing performance, planning ahead, and guiding the business.”
In addition to Accounting Seed’s AI Assistant, its Salesforce Hosted MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets customers connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and other MCP-compatible assistants directly to live Accounting Seed data. Salesforce standard and specialized Accounting Seed tools span accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory, supporting work from pulling balance sheets and aging summaries to building and routing payment proposals. Every request follows the user’s permissions and is recorded in the audit trail.
The redesigned home experience surfaces essential information for finance teams giving access to critical key key performanc indicators, close status, workflows, and integrations. This includes:
- Automated AI briefings: Personalized briefings highlight financial information based on what each user needs to see.
- People and AI workflows: See what your team owns, what AI and automation handle, and what still needs review.
- Spreadsheet-style navigation: Configurable list views make financial records easy to filter, organize, and review.
A drag-and-drop Financial Reports Hub lets teams analyze P&Ls and balance sheets across locations, product lines, periods, and other dimensions. Because reports run on the same records as the rest of the business, teams can build these views without data exports, a data warehouse, or a separate BI license.
