She will succeed Randy Nail, who will continue as CEO through Dec. 31, 2026.
Nail and Vernon will work closely in the coming months to prepare for the leadership transition. Following the transition, Nail will continue supporting HoganTaylor through Dec. 31, 2027, with a focus on strategic growth opportunities, the firm says.

Vernon has served as a partner for two decades and held key leadership roles, including more than a decade as assurance service area leader and her current role as client services leader. During her tenure leading assurance at HoganTaylor, she helped drive 117% revenue growth across the service area, the firm says.
Vernon has served on the firm’s operating committee since 2013.
“I am honored by the trust our partners have placed in me and grateful for the opportunity to lead HoganTaylor,” Vernon said in a statement. “Over the past 25 years, I have seen firsthand that our strength comes from our people. They care deeply for our clients, support one another, and give back to the communities we serve. I look forward to working alongside our teams and building on what we have accomplished together.”
Nail joined HoganTaylor in 2006 and has been the firm’s CEO since 2012. During his tenure, Nail is credited with leading the firm through transformative growth, including multiple mergers and its evolution into one of the region’s leading business advisory firms.
