Morgantown, WV-based accounting and advisory firm Gray Griffith & Mays has acquired fellow Morgantown firm Lambright & Gutta, effective Sept. 1.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. As part of the transition, Kimberly Gutta, a partner of Lambright & Gutta, will join GG&M as a director. She brings more than 40 years of public accounting experience and has spent her career helping individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations navigate their accounting and financial needs.
This is GG&M’s first M&A deal in 2026. According to its website, GG&M’s last deal was in January 2022 when it acquired Delbert Bowers CPA.
GG&M says the acquisition of Lambright & Gutta strengthens its ability to serve clients with a broad range of financial, accounting, and business needs.
Founded in 2001, Lambright & Gutta specializes in accounting and tax preparation services for a wide variety of clients, including tax return filing and tax planning for individuals, bookkeeping and financial statements for small businesses, and corporate tax return filing.

“We are thrilled to welcome the clients and talented team from Lambright & Gutta to the Gray Griffith & Mays family,” Ryan Lindsay, director at Gray Griffith & Mays, said in a statement. “This acquisition is a natural fit for both firms. By combining our resources and shared commitment to client service, we can provide an even greater depth of specialized expertise and financial guidance to businesses and individuals throughout West Virginia and beyond.”
“I am excited about this next chapter and the additional value we will be able to provide our clients that have entrusted us with their financial and business needs over the years. This acquisition reflects our commitment of continuing to provide thoughtful advice and exceptional service that our clients deserve,” Gutta said in a statement.
Founded in 1981, Gray Griffith & Mays is an accounting and advisory firm providing audit, accounting, tax, and consulting services to individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other entities across the country.
