CRI Adds DMR CPAs, Trace Advisory

The top 25 firm has completed two M&A deals in a little more than a week, adding DMR CPAs in Fort Worth, TX, and Trace Advisory, a Ridgeland, MS-based firm specializing in government accounting, auditing, and compliance.

Top 25 accounting firm Carr, Riggs & Ingram has completed two M&A deals in a little more than a week, adding DMR CPAs in Fort Worth, TX, and Trace Advisory, a Ridgeland, MS-based firm specializing in government accounting, auditing, and compliance.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

These are Enterprise, AL-based CRI’s third and fourth M&A deals in 2026. The firm has also added Crowl, Cameron & Associates, a Conroe, TX-based CPA firm, and CFO Hub, a San Diego-based provider of fractional CFO, controller, and financial advisory services.

CRI has made 13 transactions since securing a private equity investment from Centerbridge Partners and Bessemer Venture Partners in late 2024.

Founded in 1958, DMR CPAs is a well-established firm serving businesses and individuals throughout Fort Worth and the surrounding area. The firm specializes in tax, audit, accounting, and payroll services, with particular experience serving clients in construction, manufacturing, and professional services.

Through the merger, which was announced on Aug. 11, DMR clients will gain access to CRI’s expanded advisory capabilities, industry-focused teams, and specialized portfolio companies, which span investment banking, wealth management, data analytics, and business consulting services, officials said.

Trace Advisory will now operate as CRI Government Solutions, a new member of the CRI Family of Companies, according to a media release on Aug. 19. This addition enhances CRI’s capacity to serve government entities and public-sector organizations nationwide.

Trace Advisory helps federal, state, and local organizations navigate complex accounting, auditing, and compliance requirements. Its services span government accounting, compliance auditing and single audits, contract and grant compliance, cost accounting, internal controls, and financial and operational support.

As CRI Government Solutions, the team from Trace Advisory will continue to serve clients under the CRI brand.
