McIntyre joins CohnReznick as Assurance Partner 

CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, recently announced that Kevin McIntyre has joined as a Partner in the Assurance practice. Based in Chicago, McIntyre will support private-equity backed companies and other businesses in the region – primarily those in the manufacturing and distribution, technology, and consumer industries.

With more than 15 years of experience providing accounting, audit, and business advisory services to international and domestic, middle-market portfolio companies, his expertise includes working with businesses throughout their life cycles, helping them navigate complex accounting issues in areas including revenue recognition, debt and equity arrangements, and M&A transactions.

McIntyre will play a similar role at CohnReznick as the firm continues to grow its M&D, consumer, and technology industry practices in Chicago and extend its presence in the Midwest. Earlier this year, CohnReznick expanded its Midwest footprint with the strategic acquisition of Minnesota-based Smith Schafer & Associates.

McIntyre earned a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Kentucky and a B.S. in Business Administration, Finance, and Economics from the University of Louisville.

Ty Hendrickson, CPA, Returns to Inovautus Consulting as Senior Consultant

Inovautus Consulting, a growth advisory firm serving accounting and professional services organizations nationwide, is pleased to announce that Ty Hendrickson, CPA, has returned to the firm as a Senior Consultant.

Hendrickson is a CPA who began her career in public accounting before moving into sales and sales leadership. Her experience includes roles with Wolters Kluwer and Bloomberg BNA, where she worked within the accounting profession before joining Inovautus as Director of Training & Development from 2021 to 2023. During her previous time with Inovautus, she advised CPA firms on sales, business development, coaching, and growth strategy.

Most recently, Hendrickson served as Chief Revenue Officer at CSA Partners, a private equity-backed cost segregation firm. That experience gave her firsthand perspective on leading revenue strategy within an accounting-adjacent organization and further deepened her expertise in sales leadership, revenue planning, and sustainable growth.

In her role at Inovautus, Hendrickson will support clients with strategic revenue planning, growth goal setting, ideal client definition, pricing, sales coaching, and the alignment of marketing and business development efforts. She will also contribute to the continued development of Inovautus’s revenue consulting capabilities. Additional details about these services will be announced separately.

Jennifer Montoya Promoted to Partner at Lanigan Ryan

Lanigan Ryan, P.C., an independent public accounting firm serving businesses and individuals throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, announced the promotion of Jennifer Montoya, CPA, to equity Partner. Montoya joined the firm in 2018 and has advanced from Manager to Tax Director to Partner.

Montoya specializes in individual, partnership, corporate, and multi-state taxation, as well as transaction advisory services, with deep roots in the construction and real estate industries she has served throughout her career. She has become one of the most respected voices in the firm’s practice and a trusted resource for clients and colleagues alike on complex and nuanced matters.

Her leadership was especially visible during the COVID-19 relief period, when frequent changes to tax law required rapid interpretation and clear communication. Montoya tracked new legislation as it passed, often outside of normal business hours, so that her team and clients would always have the most up-to-date information. She wrote executive summaries, published guidance clients could put to use, and delivered the firm’s first webinar. That work earned her recognition as a Top 6 global finalist for AGN International’s 2021 Women of Impact Award.

Internally, Montoya has been a driving force behind the development of the firm’s technical talent, regularly sharing tax news and developments and encouraging continual learning across all levels. She mentors developing professionals and carries that same commitment into the community, providing resources and leading seminars for construction associations in the region.

Montoya’s promotion reflects her technical excellence, her steady leadership, and her commitment to the clients and colleagues she serves.

Plostock joins CohnReznick Government and Public Sector Advisory team

CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, recently announced that Michael Plostock has joined as a Director in its Government and Public Sector Advisory team. He brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in emergency management, disaster recovery, continuity of operations, risk management, and strategic planning at the highest levels of the federal government.  

Plostock joins CohnReznick from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) where he held senior leadership roles supporting some of the nation’s most complex disaster response, recovery, and operational resilience efforts. As Deputy Chief of Staff in FEMA’s Office of the Administrator, he helped direct business continuity and crisis management operations for a 22,000-person agency with a $30 billion budget during a period of presidential transition, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery and organizational stability.  

Plostock also served as Chief of Staff and strategic advisor to FEMA’s largest operational unit, helping guide leadership through nearly 700 disasters nationwide. He also led high-profile recovery initiatives, including directing a 400-person team responsible for a $5.45 billion compensation program following the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon wildfire in New Mexico.  

Based In CohnReznick’s Metro DC offices, Plostock earned B.B.A., Marketing and M.S., Information Technology degrees from The George Washington University.

Baker Newman Noyes Announces 15 Senior Promotions in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire

  • Nicholas Amann, CPA, MSA, has been promoted to Senior Manager in the Tax practice, specializing in multi-generational, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of New Hampshire.
  • Michael Burns, CPA, MSA, has been promoted to Manager in the Assurance practice. He specializes in providing auditing services to private companies in the nonprofit, commercial, life science, and healthcare industries. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and his master’s degree in accounting from The University of New Hampshire.
  • Zachary Smargon, CPA, MSA, has been promoted to Senior Manager in the Assurance practice. He has experience managing the day-to-day accounting tasks, monthly financial statement close process, evaluating and implementing best practices. Smargon earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and his master’s degree in accounting from The University of New Hampshire.

  • Daniel Sheldon has been promoted to Manager in the Tax practice. He specializes in corporate income tax accounting under ASC 740, corporate tax planning and compliance, and international and state and local tax compliance. Sheldon has helped a variety of innovative organizations in the technology/SAAS sectors navigate the complex and rapidly evolving tax landscape.

Manchester, New Hampshire

  • Madeline Moynihan, CPA, MSA, has been promoted to Senior Manager in the Tax practice. As a member of one of the pass-through groups, she focuses primarily on federal and state tax compliance and planning for closely held businesses. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an option in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of New Hampshire.
  • Harrison Murphy, CPA, MSA/F, has been promoted to Manager in BNN’s Tax practice. He specializes in tax compliance, planning, and advisory for passthrough entities and their owners. Murphy received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and master’s degree in accounting and finance from Southern New Hampshire University.

  • Meghan Yarosewick, PMP, has been promoted to Manager in the Business and Technology Advisory practice at BNN. She supports clients with project management, program development, system selection and implementation, and process redesign. She received a bachelor’s degree in health management and policy from the University of New Hampshire.

Portland, Maine

  • Adam Hart has been promoted to Information Technology Systems Manager in the IT Department, where he leads the firm’s technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user computing initiatives.
  • Gage Kennedy, MBA, has been promoted to Manager in the Tax practice. He specializes in tax planning and compliance for closely held businesses, partnerships, S corporation, and high-net-worth individuals. Kennedy earned his bachelor’s in accounting and master’s in business administration from Husson University.
  • Evangeline McCarthy, CPA, MSA, has been promoted to Manager in the Assurance practice, where she specializes in providing audit and assurance services to commercial businesses and financial institutions. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Maine and her master’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut.
  • Andrew Murry, CPA, MBA, has been promoted to Senior Manager in the Assurance practice. He specializes in healthcare organizations and nonprofit entities. Murry received a bachelor’s degree in accounting, magna cum laude, from the University of Hartford, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine.
  • Nathan Perry, CPA, has been promoted to Manager in the Assurance practice where he specializes in providing auditing and assurance services for banks, credit unions, and commercial businesses. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and his master’s degree in business administration, with a focus on accounting from the University of Maine.
  • Nathan Somes, CPA, MBA, has been promoted to Senior Manager in the Tax practice at BNN. He joined the firm in 2018 after completing tax internships in the Portland office.
