Frazier & Deeter Acquires Gray, Gray & Gray in Massachusetts

Frazier & Deeter has landed INSIDE Public Accounting top 200 firm Gray, Gray & Gray in a deal that establishes the Atlanta-based top 50 firm's first office location in the Northeast.

Frazier & Deeter has landed INSIDE Public Accounting top 200 firm Gray, Gray & Gray in a deal that establishes the Atlanta-based top 50 firm’s first office location in the Northeast.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Following the close, Canton, MA-based Gray, Gray & Gray will be integrated into Frazier & Deeter’s operational and support infrastructure, including technology, talent development, finance, marketing, and business development, according to an Aug. 3 media release.

This is Frazier & Deeter’s second M&A deal in 2026. In May, the firm added Copeland Buhl, an accounting and advisory firm in the Minneapolis area, marking its first expansion into the Midwest.

Frazier & Deeter made three acquisitions last year after securing a private equity investment from General Atlantic in April 2025.

According to John Hightower, chief growth officer at Frazier & Deeter, the acquisition represents another important milestone in the firm’s national growth strategy.

Founded in 1945, Gray, Gray & Gray says it was one of the first firms in the country to take an integrated approach that combines business advisory services with tax, audit, private wealth management, and investment banking.
