Recent Career Highlights
Since 2023, I have published four papers in Financial Times Top 50 journals. These are read by academics, policymakers, nd accounting practitioners, and cover topics around corporate disclosure and its use by shareholders and broader stakeholders (employees, peer firms, etc.). Recently I collaborated with the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on research examining how companies use weather forecasts to adapt their operations and where opportunities exist to improve those decisions. This work has been presented at leading institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania, MIT, and Yale.
What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?
I focus on corporate disclosure research with clear policy relevance. My work on cost disaggregation has been cited by both the FASB and IASB in the development of their projects on the disaggregation of income statement expenses. My research on greenhouse gas disclosure has also been cited by the U.S. SEC during its rulemaking process and recognized by companies such Maersk. Through this work, I aim to produce research that informs standard-setting and improves corporate reporting for both shareholders and stakeholders.
