Top 60 accounting firm Mauldin & Jenkins is expanding its Governmental Advisory practice through a merger with The Prinzo Group, a government-focused technology firm based in Alpharetta, GA, that specializes in system modernization, procurement, and policy implementation.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. As part of the transition, Rob Prinzo, founder of The Prinzo Group, will join Mauldin & Jenkins as a partner.
Recognizing the growing need for connected, modern infrastructure, Atlanta-based Mauldin & Jenkins said the addition of The Prinzo Group enhances its established governmental advisory services with a dedicated technology arm. By integrating The Prinzo Group’s expertise, the accounting firm’s governmental service offerings will move beyond traditional consulting to offer a comprehensive service model that combines high-level organizational strategy with hands-on technical execution and regulatory guidance, Mauldin & Jenkins added.

“Our Governmental Advisory practice area was missing one key component: IT and systems services. The Prinzo Group fills that gap perfectly,” Adam Fraley, governmental practice and Atlanta market leader for Mauldin & Jenkins, said in a statement. “We have a long, positive history collaborating with Rob and his team. Governmental entities across the country are challenged with outdated and fragmented systems, and this merger positions us to help them modernize, integrate, and operate more effectively.”
Mauldin & Jenkins said this partnership allows it to provide support across the full project lifecycle, from initial assessment and strategy to final adoption.
Expanded services now include system modernization, strategic procurement and vendor selection, project management, policy implementation, and organizational change management.
“From the beginning, The Prinzo Group has focused on helping government organizations turn strategy into action,” Rob Prinzo said. “Joining Mauldin & Jenkins allows us to scale that mission with a firm that brings deep governmental expertise and a shared commitment to practical, results-driven solutions. Together, we can deliver end-to-end support that helps public-sector organizations modernize with confidence.”
