Fort Lauderdale, FL-based accounting firm Alpine Mar has expanded its client offerings to include assurance services after acquiring Elliot Melamed PA, a boutique CPA firm in Coral Springs, FL.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Launching assurance services is the latest milestone for Alpine Mar which says in a June 26 media release that it has achieved an average annual revenue growth rate of 220% year over year since the firm’s inception in 2020 and now has 17 U.S.-based employees.
“Our assurance services launch reflects what we’re hearing from our clients. They want more than a traditional accounting firm—they also want real insights, proactive guidance, and strategic support at every stage of growth,” Pablo Martell, CEO and managing partner of Alpine Mar, said in a statement. “Bringing assurance services in-house allows us to deliver on that promise.”
Founded in 1991 by Elliot Melamed and Steve Karp, Elliot Melamed PA includes five CPAs and a support staff, and serves hundreds of clients by providing assurance services, tax services, and consulting.
Martell started Alpine Mar in 2020 with a mission of defining the modern-day accounting firm—one that breaks traditional molds by leveraging technology, expertise, communication, and clients’ needs to create more personalized experiences, the firm says in the media release. Alpine Mar says one of its biggest advantages is that its partners all started their careers with the Big Four accounting firms.
Alpine Mar offers the latest in technology combined with both enterprise-level expertise and startup-style agility, serving many large enterprises with a fee structure that is also within reach of small and midsized businesses, the firm says.
Given its growth trajectory, Alpine Mar says it expects to be among the top U.S. accounting and finance firms within the next five years.
