Mike Voinovich Joins Schneider Downs as Audit Shareholder
Schneider Downs, one of the 60 largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms in the United States, recently announced that Mike Voinovich, CPA, has joined the firm as an audit shareholder in its Columbus office. He officially joined the firm on May 12, 2025.
Mr. Voinovich joins Schneider Downs from a Columbus-based national retailer, where he served as Chief Financial Officer since 2021. He also has more than 25 years of public accounting experience in the Columbus area. His executive leadership experience, coupled with his extensive experience in public accounting, further enhances Schneider Downs’ ability to provide highest-level consulting and guidance to its roster of clients.

Lindsey Paschal has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, Lindsey held leadership positions at Relias, a B2B software company serving healthcare organizations, where she led product marketing teams and stood up a corporate marketing function. Grant Thornton names new leaders within its Industry practice
Grant Thornton, one of America and Ireland’s largest brands of professionals providing end-to-end audit, assurance, tax and advisory services, has appointed new leaders for Asset Management, Energy and Healthcare within its multinational Industry practice.
Shona O’Hea, an Advisory Services partner based in Dublin, Ireland, has been named the head of Asset Management. Tyler Jones, an Audit & Assurance Services partner based in Dallas, has been named the head of Energy, and Scott McGurl, a Business Consulting principal based in Tampa, Florida, has been named the head of Healthcare.
As the head of Asset Management, O’Hea works with Grant Thornton’s international community of Asset Management professionals to identify trends and challenges facing the industry and create solutions to support and meet clients’ needs.. She specializes in global outsourced accounting, financial reporting, compliance activities, financial systems and process improvement engagements.
O’Hea is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a diploma of Internal Audit with the Institute of Internal Auditors. She received a bachelor’s degree from Dublin City University.
As the head of Energy, Jones leverages his 20 years of experience in public accounting — serving a variety of large audit engagements in both the public and private arena — to advise domestic and multinational energy clients. He has significant experience working with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants and has expertise in initial public offerings, short form registration statements, SEC comment letter responses and routine public filing requirements.
Jones is a certified public accountant in Texas and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Crowe Appoints John Kurkowski Managing Partner of Audit & Assurance
Crowe LLP, a leading public accounting and consulting firm, recently announced that John Kurkowski has been appointed Managing Partner of the firm’s Audit & Assurance Business Unit, effective July 1, 2025. Kurkowski will succeed Wendy Cama, who has announced her intent to retire from Crowe on March 31, 2026, after a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years, including five years as managing partner of the business unit.
Kurkowski is a 23-year veteran of Crowe and currently serves as Private Equity Industry Leader and several of the firm’s public company audit clients. He also served on the Crowe Board of Directors and is recognized for his leadership both within the firm and across the market.
urkowski has more than 30 years of experience conducting audits and reviews and providing financial advisory services to privately held and publicly traded clients in manufacturing, distribution, and service industries. Prior to joining Crowe in 2002, he was a partner at Arthur Andersen, where he served clients in the consumer-packaged goods, manufacturing, distribution, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare industries.
Kurkowski is a graduate of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants.
