A new integration announced on June 5 allows accounting firms to embed online payment solution CPACharge directly into the workflow for SafeSend One, the flagship product of SafeSend, a tax automation software company acquired by Thomson Reuters earlier this year.

This new partnership will make it easier for tax and accounting firms to get paid as clients receive their tax returns, CPACharge and SafeSend said in a media release.

“We are excited to partner with SafeSend and simplify how firms do business by enhancing the client experience at every stage,” Sean Galligan, executive vice president of partnerships at AffiniPay, the parent company of CPACharge, said in a statement. “SafeSend allows us to remove barriers from the payment process and help firms deliver a faster, more seamless experience for their clients.”

Accounting firms sometimes face delays and added work after sending out returns, especially when payments aren’t collected accordingly. The CPACharge and SafeSend One integration addresses these problems by helping tax and accounting professionals stay focused on their work, with fewer follow-ups and faster payments.

“The integration with CPACharge reflects our ongoing commitment to simplifying workflows for tax and accounting professionals and enhancing the client experience,” said Rahul Chandran, chief technology officer at SafeSend. “By embedding secure, seamless payment capabilities, we’re removing friction and delivering greater convenience for both firms and their clients.”

Are IRS Chatbots Really Helping Taxpayers?

It's a question that's difficult to answer because the data the IRS collects to measure chatbot performance is unreliable, limiting the agency's ability to determine whether the applications are operating effectively, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration says.
