Top 15 accounting firm Crowe said May 12 that it has expanded strategic deployment in OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise platform and application programming interfaces to all of the firm’s professionals.
“This move positions Crowe as one of the very few accounting firms to provide firmwide artificial intelligence access at full scale and underscores its commitment to reshaping how work is done and how value is delivered to clients,” the Chicago-based firm said in a media release on Monday.

With this investment, Crowe said it’s empowering its professionals to leverage cutting-edge AI to solve complex business challenges, enhance collaboration, and build smarter, faster, more innovative client solutions. The adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise across audit, tax, and consulting marks a key milestone in the firm’s broader innovation agenda and its strategy, Crowe added.
“AI is already transforming how we work, and this deployment ensures our people are fully equipped to lead that change,” Crowe CEO Steven Strammello said in a statement. “Our expanded collaboration with OpenAI is not just about tools—it’s about unlocking human potential and driving real, measurable outcomes for our clients.”
Crowe announced last October that it was expanding its Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (CoE), consisting of its AI lab, AI engineering, and AI enablement teams.
Led by firmwide AI Managing Principal Doug Schrock, Crowe said at the time that it’s tripling the size of its AI lab and AI engineering team to facilitate the co-development of AI innovation and solutions with its clients. The AI CoE will be multidisciplinary across the firm’s portfolio of services.
Then earlier this year, the accounting firm said it was expanding its use of OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise and its APIs by integrating OpenAI’s products to accelerate internal innovation while delivering tailored AI solutions for clients.
