Tennessee

The Tennessee Society of CPAs (TSCPA) recently hosted a Principles of Accounting Bootcamp for Accounting Educators.

Nearly 50 educators attended the event, hosted with the American Accounting Association (AAA). The event was free and designed to help spark student interest in the field of accounting.

The event, held at TSCPA’s headquarters, was available virtually as well, with sessions covering innovative strategies for college educators to incorporate into their principles of accounting courses to enhance learning experiences and encourage students to consider careers in the accounting profession.

“Partnering with the AAA to host this event gave us a valuable opportunity to connect with educators who are shaping the future of accounting,” said Megan Williams, TSCPA’s students and emerging professionals manager. “By encouraging innovation in the classroom, we’re helping to shape a stronger, more dynamic future for the profession.”

In addition, TSCPA recently announced that a virtual attendance option is now available for its 94th Annual Meeting and Convention taking place on June 10-12.

Those who sign up for a Virtual Access Convention Pass will be able to register for up to 14 CPE credits and get live, up-to-the-minute analysis on key topics from nationally recognized instructors from the comfort of their office or home.

TSCPA’s 94th Annual Meeting and Convention will be held in person at the Westin Chattanooga. In addition to the in-person and virtual options, the convention will also be offered on demand to accommodate more participants.

To register for TSCPA’s 94th Annual Meeting and Convention with a Virtual Access Convention Pass, visit the Virtual Access Convention Pass page.
