Brian Baker joins Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors in Indianapolis
Brian Baker has joined Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors as a managing director. Forvis Mazars Capital Advisors is the FINRA-registered broker-dealer and investment banking arm of Forvis Mazars, LLP, one of the largest public accounting and consulting firms in the United States.
In his new role, Baker will serve clients regionally, nationally, and internationally, continuing the firm’s investment banking growth across the United States and around the world.
Baker has more than 25 years of experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and both private and public securities offerings. His transaction experience includes representing private, family-owned, and public companies in domestic and international transactions across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Baker held senior banking positions at investment banks ranging in scope from regional middle-market firms to publicly traded Wall Street firms. Prior to capital advisory, he practiced as an attorney in the areas of corporate transactional law, financial institutions law, tax law, and securities law; before that, he practiced as a certified public accountant.
Baker has a B.B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Sikich Welcomes Jody Hillenbrand as Principal in Employee Benefit Plan Audits
Sikich, a Chicago-based leading global technology-enabled professional services company, announced that Jody Hillenbrand, CPA, has joined as principal in the employee benefit audit plan practice, bringing more than 25 years of experience helping clients improve their accounting policies, procedures, and reporting functions.
Hillenbrand will participate in internal inspections, engagement quality reviews, pre-issuance report reviews training and consultations with engagement teams on technical matters. She will also oversee project execution and support staff development through training and mentoring.
Hillenbrand holds a degree in accounting from the University of Texas and is a licensed CPA. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), where she previously served on the executive committee of the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) Audit Quality Center. She is also an active volunteer with the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, Team RWB and Breakthrough T1D.
Wipfli announces Charley Boyle as new data and analytics chief
Wipfli, a top 25 advisory and accounting firm recently announced the appointment of Charley Boyle as the firm’s new chief data and analytics officer. Boyle brings a wealth of experience as a data strategy and AI products leader.
Boyle’s career spans more than two decades, during which he has developed global experience in decision analytics, specializing in digital data and AI transformation across multiple industries.
Boyle most recently served as a vice president at Fortive where he oversaw the data strategy of three operating companies and served as product general manager for data and AI solutions. In leading enterprise-wide AI integration initiatives, his team translated customer insights into scalable SaaS solutions while optimizing user experiences. He previously served as chief data and analytics officer at Octo Telematics and chief data scientist at Honeywell.
Boyle holds a B.S. in finance from Ithaca College and an MBA from Widener University.
Rightworks Announces New Executive Vice President
Rightworks recently announced that Carla Minsky has joined Rightworks as the new Executive Vice President, Sales.
Carla is an accomplished sales leader with over 20 years of experience driving revenue growth, building high-performing teams, and delivering customer success. In her new role, Carla will lead the sales organization and play a critical role in driving growth and execution across out go-to market strategy.
Before joining Rightworks, Carla was the SVP of Sales at Emburse, where she built and scaled a high-performing sales organization that exceeded its targets for 16 straight quarters. She previously held senior roles at SAP Concur, where she led strategic sales teams and drove year-over-year growth of more than 80%. Carla has also held leadership positions at DataBank, Bottomline Technologies and Iron Mountain, bringing solid experience in building teams and delivering strong, repeatable and consistent results.
Carla lives in Windham, New Hampshire, with her husband and daughter, and will work from the Nashua headquarters.
Wipfli announces Gina Skibo as new manufacturing, retail and distribution industry leader
Wipfli, a top 25 advisory and accounting firm, recently announced the appointment of Gina Skibo as the new manufacturing, retail, and distribution industry leader.
Skibo has over 20 years of experience in public accounting and advisory services, most recently serving as the Upper Great Lakes, Northeast U.S., and Southeast U.S. regional leader for Wipfli. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the financial results of the regions, enhancing Wipfli’s recognition and value proposition in the marketplace, and engaging with the community. Skibo also leads the Wipfli Milwaukee geographic market.
In her new role, Skibo will leverage her extensive experience and collaborative leadership style to drive growth and innovation within Wipfli’s manufacturing, retail and distribution practice. Her vision includes aligning Wipfli’s solutions with the needs of clients, cultivating deep client relationships, and fostering a supportive and high-functioning team.
Skibo received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, double majoring in accounting and management.
Patrick Moran Joins PKF O’Connor Davies as Partner
PKF O’Connor Davies, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax and advisory practices, recently announced that Patrick Moran has joined the organization as a Partner in its Risk Advisory Solutions practice. Based in PKF O’Connor Davies’ Harrison, New York office, Moran has more than two decades of experience in financial services, technical accounting, and regulatory compliance.
Moran’s technical acumen encompasses business combinations, fair value measurements, and consolidation accounting. His extensive experience in regulatory matters includes a deep knowledge of financial reporting for public companies and broker-dealers, ensuring compliance with evolving industry standards.
Before joining PKF O’Connor Davies, Moran served as Director at a leading financial services firm and a national accounting firm.
Moran holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
