Top 20 accounting firm Eide Bailly said Monday it will be adding Volpe Brown & Co., a North Canton,
OH-based CPA firm with a client base consisting of McDonald’s franchise owner-operators, in a deal that is expected to close on May 5.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. As part of the transition, Eide Bailly’s current Canton team will relocate to the existing Volpe Brown office, which will become the firm’s new North Canton location.
Eide Bailly said this strategic move enhances its presence in northeast Ohio and adds a team with more than 40 years of experience in client accounting services, complex reporting, tax, and advisory work.
“This addition reflects Eide Bailly’s commitment to aligning with firms that share our vision of forward-thinking service, client care, and a strong internal culture,” Jeremy Hauk, managing partner and CEO of Eide Bailly, said in a statement. “We’re proud to welcome the Volpe Brown team and continue building our presence in Ohio with people who care deeply about their clients and community.”
With access to Eide Bailly’s national network of more than 3,500 professionals, the Volpe Brown team will be able to provide expanded resources in areas like business valuation, technology consulting, tax strategy, and cybersecurity—helping clients navigate complex challenges and plan for growth.

This is Eide Bailly’s first M&A deal in almost a year—the firm merged in Woodland Hills, CA-based CPA firm Edward White & Co. in early June 2024.
