Recent Career Highlights:

  • Serve as Faculty Advisor for the NABA at WMU student chapter, mentoring and advocating for a growing membership of 55+ students.
  • Secured full sponsorship for 21 NABA at WMU students to attend the NABA Link Regional Conference in Chicago, IL.
  • Established and reestablished corporate partnerships within the Accountancy Department to recruit and retain a strong pipeline of accounting students.
  • Support increased enrollment in the accounting major and minor at WMU through innovative teaching and strategic marketing efforts.
  • Created the NABA at WMU Experiential Activities Donor Fund to support future professional development opportunities for student members.

Outreach Beyond the Classroom:
I am committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through education and empowerment in the classroom, the community, and the profession. In the classroom, I create inclusive learning environments that equip emerging business professionals and leaders with the skills and confidence to thrive. In the community, I lead NABA at WMU, mentoring and advocating for 55+ students and connecting them to corporate partners and professional development opportunities on the local, state, regional, and national levels. I also collaborate with organizations like MICPA to expand access and visibility for diverse groups in accounting and business. Through these efforts, I strive to build a profession that reflects and uplifts the diverse world we serve.
