Career Highlights
The past year has been a remarkable period of growth for CPAClub, as we continued to deliver on our mission to make the CPA world better. Personally, I further promoted CPAClub One, an assisted entrepreneurship model designed to address the CPA pipeline issue by offering an alternative career path for CPAs practicing assurance. The most significant achievement of the past year, however, was my focus to raise awareness regarding the AICPA’s and PCAOB’s new quality management standards. I actively hosted webinars and podcasts, as well as produced other social media content, to alert the industry of the substantial effort and resources required to implement these new standards. I successfully secured a partnership with Caseware, a global leader in cloud and AI-enabled audit solutions. This collaboration integrates Caseware SQM’s advanced quality management technology with CPAClub’s acclaimed subscription service model, providing firms with a comprehensive solution to implement the new standards.
What are you doing to make a difference in the profession, your community, the world?
Despite experiencing another year of record-breaking growth, I focused on upholding our values, particularly our commitment to providing a 5-star experience for our employees. Overworking and burnout have contributed significantly to the talent shortage in the profession. We provide a year-round 4-day work week which helps keep our employees refreshed and able to deliver a 5-star experience to our members. This has been challenging given the priorities and tight deadlines from our many members. However, I have fought to uphold our culture, which hopefully sets an example and inspires other firms and companies to follow for the betterment of our profession.
