BPM to Combine with WBM Partners in Canada

The top 35 firm is expanding its reach in Canada by merging in WBM Partners, a Burlington, Ontario-based accounting and advisory firm, in a deal expected to be completed on June 1.

Top 35 accounting firm BPM is expanding its reach in Canada by merging in WBM Partners, a Burlington, Ontario-based boutique accounting and advisory firm, in a deal expected to be completed on June 1. 

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. With this combination, BPM will add 37 professionals with offices in Burlington and Calgary, bringing the firm’s total Canadian locations to three and total colleagues to 125. The firm also has an office in Montreal.

San Francisco-based BPM said in a media release that the combination will significantly enhance its and WBM’s ability to serve clients across key industries in Canada, the U.S., and globally. BPM launched a new international network, BPM Global Ltd., on Feb. 3 made up of independent member firms, with Australia-based Enspira Financial as its first.

In addition, WBM’s family office practice provides a range of services, including tax planning, estate planning, tax services, and family governance.
