St. Petersburg, FL-based accounting firm SBF Advisors is merging with Tampa Bay-based forensic accounting firm Hoerber Tillman & Co.
Both firms will continue to operate under their respective brands into 2025, with no changes to contact information. The companies will explore combining branding, including a new firm name, in the coming months.
The merger brings together two firms with expertise in forensic accounting, litigation support, and business advisory to enhance client services and expand capabilities.
SBF has provided tax planning, preparation, accounting, and advisory services to clients across Florida and nationwide since it was founded in 1971. With strong expertise in valuations, litigation support, and forensic accounting, SBF serves clients at every stage of the business lifecycle.

SBF is a top 400 accounting firm based on revenue, according to INSIDE Public Accounting. During its most recent fiscal year, SBF had revenue of $16.1 million.
“This merger presents a strategic opportunity to further strengthen our advisory services. We’re thrilled to leverage the deep industry knowledge and extensive experience that Sarah [Hoerber] and Lisa [Tillman] bring to the table, and we are excited to welcome them to our team,” David Harper, partner at SBF, said in a statement.
Founded in 2017, Hoerber Tillman & Co. specializes in forensic accounting, litigation support, marital dissolution, and business valuations.
“This merger offers us the opportunity to provide our clients with a broader range of services and access to combined resources, further elevating the value we deliver and better addressing their diverse needs,” said Sarah Hoerber, the firm’s founder.
