Columbus, OH-based top 100 accounting firm GBQ Partners has acquired Talentcrowd, a referral-based hiring platform also based in Columbus that brings tech talent to top companies and teams, effective Jan. 31.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. GBQ and Talentcrowd will continue to operate as two distinct brands in the marketplace.
The deal enhances GBQ’s existing business technology service offerings by providing and implementing innovative, data-driven workforce strategies that further empower growth of its clients’ businesses,” said Doug Davidson, director of business technology solutions at GBQ.
“This partnership underscores GBQ’s dedication to being a bold, nimble, and innovative leader in professional services,” he said in a statement.
As a result of this partnership, GBQ can now offer clients project management office, change management, IT/DevOps program evaluation, cloud architecture, data governance and architecture, AI vision and risk management, process improvement, software development, and Microsoft remediation services.
“With Talentcrowd, we gain access to on-demand talent solutions and the ability to offer greater flexibility and efficiency for client engagements, including broader business technology consulting capabilities to address complex business challenges, optimized project delivery, and competitive workforce solutions tailored to client needs,” Davidson said.
Founded in 1953, GBQ is a tax, accounting, and consulting firm with offices in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Toledo, OH, and Indianapolis. GBQ also recently acquired Cincinnati-based accounting firm Wirth Lowe Wissemeier CPAs, as well as Ohio CPA firm Lillie & Co. and its affiliate Lillie Resource Group.
