Top 30 accounting firm UHY is expanding its presence in its home state of Michigan, as well as in Missouri, by combining with two CPA firms, Tama, Budaj & Raab (TBR) and Botz Deal & Co., effective Jan. 1.
“UHY is proud to welcome TBR and Botz Deal to our growing, forward-thinking firm,” UHY US CEO Steve McCarty said in a statement. “These combinations exemplify our commitment to strategic growth—expanding within our established markets, as well as breaking new ground in targeted regions across the nation.”
TBR has been in business for more than 50 years and is a full-service accounting firm providing financial, accounting, business consulting, estate planning, and tax planning services to clients. All professional and administrative team members will become part of UHY and continue in their current roles, the firm said. The TBR team will relocate to UHY’s existing office in Farmington Hills, MI.
Botz Deal is a full-service accounting firm with three Missouri locations in St. Charles, St. Peters, and Wentzville. The firm was founded in 1969 and provides services to privately owned businesses and their owners, not-for-profit organizations, and governmental entities, as well as individual tax planning and preparation. All professional and administrative team members will become part of UHY and continue in their current roles.
UHY said last month that it had secured an investment from private equity firm Summit Partners, which will support the continued expansion of its team, technology, and client service offerings while helping to accelerate both organic and acquisition-driven growth.
Established in 2000, UHY serves a diverse client base ranging from closely held middle-market companies to Fortune 500 firms, providing tailored solutions to meet each business’s unique needs. In the U.S., the firm operates nearly 40 offices with more than 1,800 professionals, and through its global network, UHY International, the firm is represented in 334 offices across 96 countries.
